- We are now heading over to the famouse Motörhead's Bar and Grill. Going to have some great food and relax for a bit. Wait till you see all the great memorbelia that they have in the restaurant and a small museum they have. Then we head to the hotel... ummmmm... wait till you see that, too! Can't sit still.. gotta ride, so I'm off to Lincolns tomb, Halls Harley Shop and the Cozy Drive In.... we also take in some of downtown Springfield.

I saw two other motorcycles in the parking lot. That was it… it was a beautiful day and that place would make a great destination ride.
I've stayed in the Route 66 motel, it's nothing to right home about, but it will do.

Congratulations on a safe solo trip. As many as I do I still find myself anxious the day before heading to a new destination, but once on the road I seem relaxed. Good job.
Thank you…. I’m usually so busy packing I don’t worry too much. The most stressful part of this trip was the stormy sky before I left to come home. Then I stress on the bridge coming from Illinois back into Missouri. The construction on that part is horrific.. uneven pavement and lane changes… I was so happy to get through that!! Safe travel, Bob!!!
