    Please allow me to share some tips. (This generally applies to all waffle irons.) Before adding batter the waffle iron needs to preheat. Plug it in and leave the lid CLOSED. The light will come ON which indicates that the heating element is on. Wait until the light goes OFF. This indicates that the waffle iron is at the correct cooking temperature. Open the waffle iron, pour in the batter (maybe a little less than in the video), and close the lid. The light will come back ON. Now let the waffle cook until the light goes OFF. This will give you a properly cooked waffle. (If the waffle is the same color as the batter it is not cooked. Waffles will brown as they cook.) You may find it interesting to know that the "light" is not really a light at all. It's just a window and what you see is the back of the heating element inside when it comes on. Pretty cool huh?

      And how do u cook the second waffle right after?

  • @renecurry6551
    @renecurry6551 3 роки тому +31

    You can definitely cook it longer..."til it"s golden brown. I use my all of the time...4-5 mins... no need to toast.

    I enjoyed the review and you did a great job. It’s probably good that some didn’t brown all the way. That will allow you to pre-make some for the younger kids and place them into ziplock bags so they can pop them into the toaster anytime they want. Thanks for sharing

    I bought one of those on impulse when I was at Walmart last week. My grandson loved the waffles but I thought they should have been crispier. I never thought of trying toasting the waffles. Thanks!

      Hi Prepper Potpourri! If you leave the waffle in another minute or two after the light goes off, it will get a little crispier. You will get the best crisp by using the toaster! Thanks so much for watching!

    An idea - one could make a bunch of them underdone like the floppy ones, then freeze them to toast in the morning! We don’t have a toaster but it should still toast up well in my toaster oven.

    if you put a little batter then short cooked strips of bacon then a little bit of batter you get a sandwich 🥪 or chocolate 🍫 😉 chips with a inch from the edge so it will seal then a little powder sugar on top or try different batters like 🍕 pizza dough put stuff inside you made a hot pocket 😉 👵🐟♎😅 thank you have a great day create something 😀

    It works well but if you are gonna make a lot of waffles it's gonna take forever it's good for a cheap first waffle maker but you are gonna want one that will cook more.

    You did very well! Thank you! I noticed the light was on when you poured batter IN. You may have to wait for button to turn off. I saw it steam when you were cooking longer, you want the steam. My big one is done after it stops steaming .

    Stupid question… Can you put an Eggo waffle on there and push it down to heat those? Like can you heat up already made ones or do I have to make the stuff

    • @worldofappolonia
      @worldofappolonia  3 роки тому

      Hey Bobbie, that’s not a stupid question. They produce eggo size waffles, but I’m not sure that you can actually sit an Eggo already cooked on there. I honestly would just use a toaster instead. I just don’t think the grooves of the Eggo would line up with this waffle maker so you wouldn’t be able to close it properly to cook.
