Don’t Tell the Bride is a wedding show like no other; instead of the wedding you want, it’s the wedding you’ll never forget - hopefully for all the right reasons! Each episode follows a couple through the entire process of organising a wedding, but the twist is that the bride has absolutely no involvement. For better or for worse, she has agreed to hand overall control of the wedding to the groom. She has no idea where she’s getting married, who is turning up or even what she is wearing until the big day itself. The couples are separated for the month leading up to the big day and the groom has to pull off the whole thing in secret. Will the relationship survive the strain? Will the groom succeed in pulling together the perfect wedding? And is his idea of perfection anywhere near hers?

The one change that should be made in this show is allowing the bride to purchase her own gown. All the rest is up to the groom, but the wedding gown is something that only the bride can choose for herself. This is something she's been thinking about since young childhood. It's her personal presentation of herself and her love to him. It opens the bride's heart to the fact that her marriage is a coming reality. It's when she expresses her celebration and nobody can buy that for her. In every episode, the groom worries and frets because he's forced to buy something that he is uncertain will fill her need. He must buy very inexpensively ...sometimes that shows. It would be ok to limit the bride to a reasonable budget, but for goodness sake, let her choose. Let her surprise, be the focus and the lovely prize.

Why agree to do a show like this if its going to cause a problem in your relationship/s if they got it wrong? I feel like you should be an easy going person to do something like this.
These brides she pay for their own dresses then she gets what she wants.
Would rather defeat the point of the show (“don’t tell the bride”)
They couldn't go on the show then , and have the wedding paid for , which is what they really want.
