In my opinion, if i set it though the lining, it will make the bag stronger. If the outer fabric is strong enough, you won't need to set the rivets through the lining. Because it won't break even if the bag hold heavy stuff in it. But I am using a cotton fabric here, I think it's not that strong. And by doing this, it will also make the lining stick with the outer fabric, thus the lining won't get anywhere or crumpled. The bad thing about it is that there will be a rivets popping out inside the bag. Some people might not like it. So, it's a matter of choice, all method are great. 😊🙏

I'm sorry i don't have the template for the connectors. But i do have tutorial on how to sew this faux leather for a handles like this. The measurements for this straps is right here ---> 2:49 😊🙏🏻

There's no right fabric, you can use any kind of fabric. But the thicker the fabric will be better, because it will give you steady shape of the bag. So if your fabric is thin, add some interfacing or interlining material to it. :)
Hi again. Your video has the strap placements at 8cm. It that 4cm apart from the center left and right or 8 cm apart from the center left and right. My placement looks a bit too close on my end. Thank you.
Yes it should be 8 cm apart from one strap to another. If you are using wider strap, it might be looks too close to the side edge. This bag is small, so you need to adjust the strap placement to get the best position of it. 😊❤️
