Thank you so much for the vid. I was on the fence about committing to that "grind" for tier one and now I know to just focus on other replayability areas instead. Much appreciated. XOXOXO
I've been using the 556 since I found it. Have all accessories associated with that platform. Laser is kinda cool but they could have done a better job. My biggest gripe is having used real firearms reminds me more of an AK for the muzzle rise under full auto. Which brings me to another gripe. There should be 3 settings for military weapons. Semi auto, burst, and full. But I still love this gun, as it can be dual purpose as a sniper rifle at 300 meters . The P90 sub is a life saver in shit hits the fan in close combat. Both these firearms are only level 4 in tier but the 556 can take out a helo if you control the muzzle rise. Fun game. And I like using empty to take out convoys as well. And I thought I came up with that Haha.
I feel the same way on Extreme Difficulty as I feel on Ghost mode: would be cool if the game was bugless. The randomly spawning enemies when raiding an outpost is somewhat tolerable on lower difficulties whereas Extreme makes it totally unfair since that randomly spawning guy (that you can't spot anymore) could fuck up the entire raid. Totally frustrating. Ghost mode would be a bit more rewarding if the game was a bit more permissive regarding death, especially when you die due to a bug or some unfair gameplay mechanic. Tier One is....tolerable. But you gotta keep spamming the Target Revealing perk.
I agree, i think it is interesting that we now have 2 variations of it and that both of them are special weapons and yet we do not have a stock one to customize ourselves.
I think that would be a great idea compared to the constant grinding that we are having to do. With certain missions we would be able to look at someone and see from the rewards what achievements they have accomplished.
They're not explosive rounds. The standard HTI and Desert HTI fire the .50 BMG round which in the game has been programmed to deal enough damage to bring a vehicle to a state of "disrepair" meaning the vehicle is inoperable or it instantly destroys the vehicle, regardless of their damage or penetration stat. The MSR with lower damage but higher penetration stat takes at least 3 rounds to bring a vehicle to a state of disrepair.
Tier system was meant for post game progression and not to unlock rewards. This gives meaning to the xp we gain while we continue to play. The rewards are just a bonus
Dude Tier 1 mode, is awesome, it makes the gaming experience like real life, it makes u think about things before running in and go guns blazing. I still run it every since I completed it.
I agree that it can be fun and that some entertainment can be found it playing that mode. But for the times that you just want to mess around its not for that also. When trying to do cooperatively you have to worry about that one guy that always runs in without a suppressor. lol
Z & R Gaming that's y I don't run with random people and play with friend. If I do play some random person I tell them upfront on what I like to play. I love stealth games, main reason y I bought the game, personally the game mode is something to do until pvp comes out.
I'm talking about half of my normal squad. lol Yea i understand that and the stealth was the biggest selling point for me for this game when i heard about it 2 years ago even though i have always been a big Tom Clancy fan. I hope that PVP will be out before the end of the year but do to the lack of knowledge that we are given on it im afraid to think that we might not get it until either EOY 2017 or early 2018.
Z & R Gaming PVP will be out people r being impatient, I like the fact that they r taking there time with it, giving us a good multiplayer experience rather than a rush order of PVP. I see it coming out sometime this fall in my opinion.
I hope you are right and i do like your enthusiasm. I hope that when the PVP drops it will bring people back to Ghost Recon and that they do the franchise justice when this PVP drops. i am looking forward to it and possibly the idea of getting my squad together for some Tactical PVP play and what rewards will come from playing the PVP.
I dig Tier Mode. I don't give a fuck about the special gifts and prizes. I just like the grind itself, the strategy, the graphics. I'll stick around with this version of Ghost Recon for a while. BTW, I've been a Ghost Recon fan since the beginning in the late 1990's. I'm super impressed with this series. Interestingly enough though, I think Breakpoint is kinda bullshit...Maybe I'll change my mind about this.
Honestly the Tier 1 mode was just filler bullshit and they should have simply made it to where the rifle and bad news AR are unlocked by beating the game on various difficulties because that increases the replayability and isn't nearly as boring as Tier 1 mode was. On top of all that they should make it to where you can play new game+ with the character from your previous save including weapons, mods, skills, and appearance. Fact is tier 1 mode imo was a failure when Ubisoft could have simply gone with classic style of unlocking stuff because Tier 1 felt like they added new content just so they could claim they added more content to the game when really they only added 2 new weapons and thats the ONLY reason people played that game mode.
It was fun playing the game with that extra challenge. If all the stats were to go up while upgrading, the weapons would quickly lose their identity. A perfect example is when devs nerf weapons in battlefield. I agree with your point on the 50 hour grind. After tier 30, you know the missions and areas to farm points. Still love the game. Good video man 👍
Jimmy Kitkat yes you certainly do! Before you replay the mission make sure you check out how many tier points you get upon completion. There are a couple key missions in the salt flats that are easy and worth a lot. Keep in mind every time you level up in tier the missions will reset to their full value. The more you do one mission the less points it will give you.
Yes transferring the weapons to other levels would be awesome. I am at tier 24 right now and I appreciate your video. The grind is real. I am a father of 3 boys so I get to play once a week for a couple of hours and I try and level up each time (but its getting harder to do). The special weapons would be great in fallen ghosts.
Game became already too easy on most difficult level. What made me quit was the Sam Fisher mission. Also, once you've done 4 -5 regions you realize all the remaining regions are just copy/paste of the previous ones. Same kind of rebel ops, same kind of skill points, same high level targets, same everything. No variation, too easy and to hell with the scripted missions.
Just got to tier 35. Extreme difficulty comes in, I resume play, and get shot roughly four times to get downed. My team gets slaughtered shortly after.
Thanks for your perspective on this topic. I am currently starting the tier grind and was wondering what it would like as I progress through the levels... Looks like I'm gonna chill and just enjoy the game without the special weapons, etc. I like to play in normal mode with other players too.
I agree, the biggest problem is there is no way to reach tier 1 without constantly grinding the same missions over and over again. feel like it would be better if you reached tier 1 at like 80%-100% completion of the game.
The programming of the AI is what makes tier mode not fun. Enemies will laser beam you to death before even going through their proper animations to aim.
HTI BDC doesn't have explosive rounds.. also, its not the damage that gets upgraded, it is the critical hit chance. at level 30, a weapon has a 100% critical hit chance.. a critical hit does double base damage. the 'damage' bar is just an estimate of DPS under optimal conditions.
EXTREME mode after tier 35 is like sooooo unrealistic, it's still very playable tho,but you struggle to tag everyone in the area cuz nothing is shown on the freaking map and its kinda frustrating.
The spotting perk works but not for all of the unidad trucks that freshly spawn in. And the npc’s track you too fast when you fall back to a new position.
The thing that this game is missing is the ability to upgrade your vehicles. I think they should have been some upgrades to vehicles to have more firepower or armor plates around the chassis and body. Also Tier 1 would have been better if you could upgrade your character's armor and not just the cosmetic look and feel.
Holy shit it never dawned on me to use tag enemy and target on the convoys o.o hahaha before now i was having to blow it up now i can tag the enemies without even going near the convoy ty for making me see an easier way to get more materials
I dont know, if i want to go all the way to tier one. But i will go to tier five for the bad news. But i dont grind all the way to tier five, i just play the game and help my friends through the story. I love to kill every enemy without getting spotted. But it looks like they fixed the ressource grind, because every time i try to farm ressources and i get a convoy it doesnt respawn after i fast travel. Maybe i do something wrong, maybe not. I dont know. And i dont see any difference in upgrading a weapon in terms of damage. I upgraded the AK-12 all the way to lv 30 and i dont see any difference at all. As everyone has, i have my personal go to weapons. Its the AK-12, M4A1, P90, Scorpion EVO 3 and the MSR. Yes i have the Desert Tec but i dont use it that much.
I will say this, if you like Ghost Recon Wildlands and plan to buy the sequel Breakpoint they announced that anyone who completes Tier mode will receive a special emblem in Breakpoint. So even though im not sure if i will take the time to get my other account to Tier 1 you may want to complete it if you have time if you are a collector. i will be making a video within the next week about the Breakpoint Rewards.
Rounds ain't explosive, the damage is just so high that the vehicle explodes. Every 50 cal in the game drops all the choppers, depending on if ur detected or not may have an influence what comes to ground vehicles, and the armor that they have.
Dude, get the sr25 jungle, kills everything one shot negligable bullet drop. 20 round mag And get the G2 assault rifle, beautiful accuracy ,great rate of fire. Great with GL.
The desert HTC is UNLOCKED for all modes and one shot kills vehicles once unlocked. Not just locked to teir mode.. i havent gone to teir one yet, so idk about the other unlock though
The only REAL difference between extreme and other levels is that you die with less rounds but all the other aspects of the game are equal AI still shite at extreme. I don't really think there's a different u can still have fun in extreme as AI is shite.Thise gamr could've been so good but it has a lot of bugs like clearing an area and suddenly a narco will pop out in the middle of you and ur comrades. The game is fun but I can't rate it over 7/10 it has so many shite aspects.
The only good difference between extreme and others is you can't see unspotted enemy on your map which made you think they pop out right next to you because you didn't know they were hiding or flanking unspotted. Never had a bug like enemy spawned right next to you unless it scripted to spawn for certain missions. Being stealth gets much harder just by removing enemy from you map. Getting killed in 2 shots just make it more exciting to play stealth.
It would i agree completely. I have always been a fan of games that following this method allowing you to restart with all of your earned equipment. Would also be another great way to give players special icons, camo's, weapons once the PVP drops if they have completed the game more than once.
i find the bad news is a gd weapon but has really bad range but apart from that it is a gd weapon n for the new game+ they cd have made it so it opens exstreme mode coz if ur a new players to this kinda game when u hit tier 2 its a 1 hit kill on u
Not worth it imo... I got to Tier 1 and had my main weapon of each class at Level 30 before starting the campaign... I did the campaign, everything but ammo off (so I could see what I was throwing) and it felt absolutely no different to doing it on Extreme without Tier mode. Only worthwhile thing I got it of it is the Red Shemagh that I used on my tactical-civi build and you get that at 35 or something. That was months ago. I didn't play anymore after that until last night, got the Peruvian Connection, it took about half an hour then I came off and played Rocket League lol
I'm not sure I will finish the tier one grind. The rewards are alright but the game becomes too difficult at a certain point and the enemies are way too powerful.
Yeah the suggestions are endless for this game..obvious they out zero thought into in-depth gameplay on purpose. But yeah. Teir One mode should have rewards to it, like some benefits available to other modes or ghost mode or Guerrilla, (guns of your choosing for example) or some kind of costume/body armour or credits to buy weapons instead if using money or get a DLC for free/discount. Rewards should be shared between modes. Also
This was a good video review, just last night I was thinking about this. I was thinking to myself if it was worth it, to continue playing the extreme difficulty for the (IMO) small rewards of increasing the damage on weapons. You have definitely helped me to make my decision and I do not believe I will put forth any more time in this Tier One mode unless I am in the mood to switch it up but really it seems like a waste of time. For the most part, the game plays realistic so it seems to me that it is unnecessary to have to add damage strength to my weapons.
If you start a new character and get 100% complete (takes roughly 6-8 hours on your second run) you will hit Tier 20, easy. Then 20-1 is like a week at Most, worth of work. All in all its a grind but compared to other titles it's very minor.
im not sure if they updated it but the hti dessert still one shots stuff for me in arcade... i was playing with some friends and was destoying things with one shot all day.... maybe you dont have the full vehicle damage perk?
I like how people flip out because there forces to play in extreme difficulty yet since the second I start any game I go to the hardest difficulty and turn off most of the hud and settings
I thought this Tier would be a school of hard knocks, but I didnt realize I started the game on Advanced with minimap off anyways... so the adjustment wasnt major, but its still a pain in the ass.
I'm only doing tier 1 because i started it haha I agree, I believe if you reach tier 1, you should be able to transfer over to another mode, thank you for this vid. I hate extreme by the way haha
I understand, not to mention once you get to Tier 1 you unlock a weapon skin that you are unable to actually use on the 2 weapons that you were awarded in Tier one mode. I believe they should of given us a pistol at Tier 1 if not before so we had a Tier weapon in each slot.
Just completed Tier 1 Ghost Mode last night, and long story short, no. Managed to get a few cool items from crates, but not worth the time I spent grinding for em’.
i do like the stealth aspect as it is the main reason i got the game we(Reaper & Zombie) are efficient enough as a team to go through a base stealth majority of the time quietly and quickly but if trying to play with other while in Tier One mode if they mess up(I have friends who enjoy the spray and pray. lol) then Tier One mode can seriously wear on you.
Wel if you start the game again from scratch and before your do the first area do the first mission then go to inca do that go to la cruz do most of that go to montu punchu jungle do a bit of that go to midina watever its called were el muro is do that then do the hole sercutiy mission your will b rank 30
👍. No in my opinion the tier mode and ghost mode are far from worth it! What you get for the time it takes plus as you level up the damage it is only in tier mode, plus the ai’s become extremely accurate above tier 30, they take longer to kill once they are alerted, and they only shot you not your team mates or the rebels. I know this is a few years latter.

@@kellyamosrobertson9669 If you have adv suppressor and use a suppressor it takes more then one shot because you are reducing your penetration and adv suppressor doesn't affect penetration.
@@diablojd52 always 1 shot for me with the suppressor. I also have my damage to vehicles maxed tho
Thank you so much for the vid. I was on the fence about committing to that "grind" for tier one and now I know to just focus on other replayability areas instead. Much appreciated. XOXOXO
I'm playing tier one for the challenge of getting to tier one.
They should make the LVOA-C its own weapon.
I agree, i think it is interesting that we now have 2 variations of it and that both of them are special weapons and yet we do not have a stock one to customize ourselves.
I think they should have their 1 3 stage missions land river air and you get special cosmetic rewards
Like the vid! You made a lot of good points. I think I'm only going for tier one because I'm a completionist otherwise I would stop at tier 5.
I hear you there brother, good luck on the grind!
I understand completely, i'm the same way.
Tier system was meant for post game progression and not to unlock rewards. This gives meaning to the xp we gain while we continue to play. The rewards are just a bonus
I just got to tier 17. I still find it enjoyable. Just tough as shit going back trying to master some of these harder bases.
Jimmy Kitkat I appreciate the vids buddy, anything I can do to help.
Awesome video bud. Your the 1st person I’ve seen with the Tier1 status. I’m aiming for that. At the moment I’m Tier25. 1/2 way there!!
My first play through was in arcade, enjoying the story, not paying too much attention on not getting killed 😂
That's with all Ubisoft games. Just copy/paste everything. Ubisoft makes the most boring games ever. 🙄🙄
Bought an *Xbox Series X* & bought Wildlands disc on Ebay..cant wait to see how it plays & looks in
4k, ray traced with high frame rate.
30 fps no ray tracing shitty 4k
Sadly the game is capped at 30 fps.
Just got to tier 35. Extreme difficulty comes in, I resume play, and get shot roughly four times to get downed. My team gets slaughtered shortly after.
yea i dealt with the same issue. if you have an excellent team then its good to play tier mode with them. but sometimes its best to play solo.
I wish could reset the entire game when you complete all missions .
Like new game+ or something.
Even possibly on tier 1 mode the story changes
Thanks for your perspective on this topic. I am currently starting the tier grind and was wondering what it would like as I progress through the levels... Looks like I'm gonna chill and just enjoy the game without the special weapons, etc.
I like to play in normal mode with other players too.
I agree, the biggest problem is there is no way to reach tier 1 without constantly grinding the same missions over and over again. feel like it would be better if you reached tier 1 at like 80%-100% completion of the game.
The programming of the AI is what makes tier mode not fun. Enemies will laser beam you to death before even going through their proper animations to aim.
and playing solo...your teammate AI is horrendous. Overall, the AI in this game is absolutely the worst.
I didn't know that...
Thank you for the heads up.
Dought I'd play the teir mode all the time
Good video man. Good points. I'm on tier level 30 something. There's a lot to consider if I want to grind to no1. Thank you.
EXTREME mode after tier 35 is like sooooo unrealistic, it's still very playable tho,but you struggle to tag everyone in the area cuz nothing is shown on the freaking map and its kinda frustrating.
This is precisely what your spotting perk in the rebel supports is for.
Holy Sinner I'm on 35 rn and the game is way to hard like I just wanna have fun by myself or with friends and not dying from like 2 bullets
schnoz 2 bullets more like one the AI is godlike knows exactly where you are at all times and tier 1 is just a stupid fucking camp
The spotting perk works but not for all of the unidad trucks that freshly spawn in. And the npc’s track you too fast when you fall back to a new position.
outofAlog bro exactly man it’s retarded all that for a camo
The thing that this game is missing is the ability to upgrade your vehicles. I think they should have been some upgrades to vehicles to have more firepower or armor plates around the chassis and body. Also Tier 1 would have been better if you could upgrade your character's armor and not just the cosmetic look and feel.
I agree, wasn't enough incentive to go back and play again with it on.
Holy shit it never dawned on me to use tag enemy and target on the convoys o.o hahaha before now i was having to blow it up now i can tag the enemies without even going near the convoy ty for making me see an easier way to get more materials
The desert tech HTI doesnt use explosive rounds. Otherwise a silencer would be worthless if you hear an explosion.
Vehicle-dmg changes. You can test that with shotguns. In extreme one shot destrois the vehicle. In arcade it tales 4-5 shots with the shoty
I just started the tier levels and as soon as I activated it, I was tier level 49. No joke
In convoy supply raids you can blow up the truck and still tag the supplies to win
well, this is ubisoft. the kings of making pointless grinding in games.
and its this way because of lootboxes and mtx.
Before Ubisoft it was EA & EA did it because mobile gaming pay to play was so lucrative. Mobile gaming ruined handheld gaming & gaming itself
They still have their abilities if you take the surpressor off when your not in tier mode
SR 25 Jungle is a one hit in or outside of tier mode. Damn good weapon... the optic takes some getting use to though.
You sir, just saved me a shit ton of time
I will say this, if you like Ghost Recon Wildlands and plan to buy the sequel Breakpoint they announced that anyone who completes Tier mode will receive a special emblem in Breakpoint. So even though im not sure if i will take the time to get my other account to Tier 1 you may want to complete it if you have time if you are a collector. i will be making a video within the next week about the Breakpoint Rewards.
You sound like Danny Mcbride
Rounds ain't explosive, the damage is just so high that the vehicle explodes. Every 50 cal in the game drops all the choppers, depending on if ur detected or not may have an influence what comes to ground vehicles, and the armor that they have.
Dude, get the sr25 jungle, kills everything one shot negligable bullet drop. 20 round mag
And get the G2 assault rifle, beautiful accuracy ,great rate of fire. Great with GL.
If i ever move back to Wildlands i will have to give that a try
The SR25 Jungle kills everything with one shot.
Very good. I will use this trick. Thank you
The FAL assault rifle I find is better than the bad news try it out
The desert HTC is UNLOCKED for all modes and one shot kills vehicles once unlocked. Not just locked to teir mode.. i havent gone to teir one yet, so idk about the other unlock though
Nice vid. I'm going through the grind now and it's a pain. I wish u just for weapons as I don't care for the other mods.
Getting killed in 2 shots just make it more exciting to play stealth.
new game+ wd b nice
It would i agree completely. I have always been a fan of games that following this method allowing you to restart with all of your earned equipment. Would also be another great way to give players special icons, camo's, weapons once the PVP drops if they have completed the game more than once.
i find the bad news is a gd weapon but has really bad range but apart from that it is a gd weapon n for the new game+ they cd have made it so it opens exstreme mode coz if ur a new players to this kinda game when u hit tier 2 its a 1 hit kill on u
If you get the VHC damage skills everything is a one shot on any difficulty with either HTI
Maxed out el obsequio one shots vehicles armored or not at 80meters.HTI bdc shoots regular bullets, not explosive bullets.
Was that an Emp drone you used on the convoy? Did it work?
did you sync shot the driver at the same time?
I think once you reach tier one you be able to pick 5 free clothing for your guy. They make you pay so much for that
that would be a good alternative. Or something special for Ghost War showing other that you have put in the extra work to complete the Tier mode.
Justin Unknown Always. Go. Back. To. Rocket. League.
All I've ever played was extreme mode.
I'm extremely disappointed in the LVOA-C Bad News. I was hoping it would one or two shot enemy AI which are alerted and in combat.
Wish there was a customizable LVOA.....
agreed
The BDG 50 I use takes out any vehicle with the perk with one shot.
You can one shot a helo with a regular 50 cal sniper..
just started tier mode few days ago and it turned to extreme at level 35
yea, forces you to play that way now until you turn off tier 1 mode
I personally thought that getting the bad news was worth it, but not the sniper
White Wolf
This^
Careful. We have a real badass over here. A tried and true operator.
True though.
People flip out so you decide to brag?
I thought this Tier would be a school of hard knocks, but I didnt realize I started the game on Advanced with minimap off anyways... so the adjustment wasnt major, but its still a pain in the ass.
I'm only doing tier 1 because i started it haha I agree, I believe if you reach tier 1, you should be able to transfer over to another mode, thank you for this vid. I hate extreme by the way haha
This game would be 10/10 if it came out a couple years ago
I stopped after I got the LVOA-C at Tier5. Can´t handle the grind anymore.
What I love of tier mode you need play stealth or go home in body bag am now T27
What dont like is you can onlye upgrade dmg and not rest of stats.
i do like the stealth aspect as it is the main reason i got the game we(Reaper & Zombie) are efficient enough as a team to go through a base stealth majority of the time quietly and quickly but if trying to play with other while in Tier One mode if they mess up(I have friends who enjoy the spray and pray. lol) then Tier One mode can seriously wear on you.
Did you know that you can blow up the supply vehicle and still collect the supplies ? It's pretty bad.
yes, but you only walk away with half of the resources.
its a challenge if you play the game over instead of farming for tier points
Wel if you start the game again from scratch and before your do the first area do the first mission then go to inca do that go to la cruz do most of that go to montu punchu jungle do a bit of that go to midina watever its called were el muro is do that then do the hole sercutiy mission your will b rank 30
Mission all of sercutiy mission and blokes
You can go get wat u need in differnt places as well jus to chip away at it
Email the devs and show them how many poeple agree with you
Well chief you were wrong whenever you started saying explosive rounds
