I am still using the 1st edition Dura ace 7 speed hubs and a 600 45/39 chainset on my cross / training bike from the 80s . The stuff really lasts with T&C.
That’s awesome! Some of the early Dura ace stuff is beautiful!!
Glad you made it over the gravel section..
Super technical
I was looking at cues when I decided on groupset. But no hydraulic brakes for road was a no go for me.
You could use 105 brakes with it
Thats... That's how I fold my bib shorts
🤝
I picked that trick up from @realstephens (Matt Stephens). Works like a charm! Plus you can add your top into the bibs, like a little golden cycling pocket.
Josh answer to riding Dirty Reiver 👌, well if Nik built it it would have Sram.
You can see how Jules takes pride in his builds the way he neatly placed a tool back down on the bench so it was aligned to the one next to it. Not just chucking it down, @9:11.
Yep totally. He’s fantastic
Chris, you need one of those Parl Tool stools 😉 for your man cave! 😅......have a great bank holiday weekend! 🍻
Definitely do mate!
Send one up here as well Chris !! 😂@ChrisHallRides
Do they cover Alphine hubs there and could I fit one in the Argon 18?
Yes, I am weird... 😊
I don’t think so. I think the hub spacing would be too wide
I fondly remember (most of) my old bikes which had Dura Ace, Ultegra (then called "Shimano 600") and 105. Their legacy mechanical groupsets, esp. the Dura Ace were outstanding!
Completely agree! I still think 7800 is one of the best looking groupsets ever
🎉💙

Gutted you was in MK would have loved to meet you man.
Next time!
