Thank you for the video buddy. In my case, Jio executive asked me to wait for 15 days as they were expecting some sort of "info". Also, one query - if you are able to make native/carrier video calls? In my 4a, it's coming as greyed out. Jio customer care says contact Google, Google says contact Jio, Jio store says wait for a couple of weeks. I really don't know what to do. This feature is a deal breaker for me. 😭😭

Installing a Jio eSIM was super smooth, I did it today. Just take your AADHAR Card (or registered ID) with you, and the EID number you'll find on the box/in SIM status. If you already have an existing physical SIM with balance, you can get it converted to eSIM as well. Take your old phone with the existing Jio SIM with you, you'll receive a couple of OTPs in it, and may need to enable the hotspot as well. You'll need no more things apart from what is mentioned in my comment.
Can you confirm how long (hours or days) it takes for the physical SIM to get deactivated and the Jio e-sim to get activated and the network to show on the e-sim slot? I went to a reliance jio digital store, got the e-sim downloaded with the help of the store executive, but network still shows as no network in the e-sim.
I did, but without any success. Did you have to send any SMS from your physical jio sim card to activate the e-sim or call any customer care number for consent to deactivate the physical SIM/activate the e-sim?
If you have two sims (i.e. Airtel + Jio), you could have inserted physical Jio sim in Pixel 4a sim slot and converted Airtel to eSim, this avoiding the hastle of going to the store. Airtel's eSIM conversion process is completely online. Can you mention if I'm missing something ?

They might have tested the trend of buying... if Good response for initial launch, they will make more stock available and you can buy one.

I called them.. but they weren't sure.. if they are going to make covers for pixel 4a or not.
