Thank you very much! We dont hear about them because they are locked up all the time 😆 but now the cats out of the bag! And we gatta get our hands on some.
I knew Charlotte had a mint but never knew this story about him or his gold coins. Thank you so much for telling this story of early American gold coins.
Crazy cuz I actually rented a house in Rutherfordton for 6 months and never knew this! I would have been out there diggin 😆 thanks for the support fam!
Thank you very much fam! Yes, I made it with a combination of stock video (of actual locations), real images, and real newspaper articles 💯🙏😎 the guy doesn't have much information floating around but if you look hard enough you can find more cool facts about him. I just wanted to keep it simple this time.
DUDE! Great video and awesome history lesson. I knew nothing about this, so thanks for enlightening me. BTW, the stickers look awesome in person, and the poster even better. I can't wait to get that puppy framed and up on the office wall. Thanks!
Very cool! Glad you got it all and like it 🙏💯😎 If you ever want anything custom or tweaked just shoot me an email and we can make it happen. you'll get an extra special rate for being an OG Metal Head. And, I'm glad you appreciate the video. This was a total accident. I just wanted to find local gold, not one of Americas hidden secrets 😆 how do we all not already know about the first $1 gold coin?!
A lot of people don't realize that the first time gold was discovered in the United States was in North Carolina, Cabarrus County in 1799. And it was a 17lb gold nugget. Imagine finding that! Great video, man! 🫡😁
@@vm.999 Yessir! 🫡 Have you ever been to Hiddenite NC? It's a unique town. It was originally founded by William Hidden in 1913. He was a mineralogist and was sent to that area by Thomas Edison to search for Platinum. He ended up discovering a lot of Gem mines in that area. The area was full of emeralds, sapphires and other precious stones. I use to go there as a kid to search for stones and gold by sleuthing. It was super cool. Highly recommend checking it out if ya haven't! Would make for an awesome video. 🫡 It's in the Hickory -Lenoir area.
oh snap! im gunna look into that story and maybe make a video on it. I havent been there but I've taken the kids to Franklin NC and di the same exact thing. we found rubies and saphires and all kinds of cool stuff. I'm actually planning on doing it again this year @@two_legit1832
@@vm.999 Yea man. Hiddenite is a cool spot. I haven't been since I was a kid but I'm pretty sure they still have sleuthing places. There's also these museums there that show some of the stones that's been discovered there. If I'm not mistaken the world's largest emerald was discovered there. Or the largest emerald in America. *Don't quote me on that one though. Lol. Edit: Just looked it up. Lol. The largest emerald in America was found there. It was a little over 13ozs. It was found in 2003.
