- Still feeling the post-vacation blues from my family trip to Cozumel, Mexico. This beautiful island is located in the Caribbean Sea where the water is clear and the vibrant greens and blues of the ocean just make you feel at bliss. We stayed at the all-inclusive Occidental Cozumel resort located on the western coast of the island and enjoyed a week of kayaking, snorkeling, eating, and marinating in the warm ocean water. The resort itself is gorgeous and located in the middle of a literal jungle so we saw all sorts of wildlife wandering around the resort including turtles, coatis, and iguanas. I took a quick break from baking in the sun to walk through the resort and along the beach. Please enjoy these memories with me. :)

How did you get from the airport to the resort?
The resort has a shuttle. Schedule a pickup ahead of time.
Can I ask how you would rate it overall? Food, service, amenities, etc? Also were they able to get taxi quotes and honor those prices for traveling outside for say a night out on the town?
They do a great job of having activities all day at the pool, evening activities, and some beach activities like kayaking and volleyball. Checking in took a while, but it got figured out just fine in the end. Booking a taxi through the hotel ended up being a lot easier than expected, but we only really did one excursion outside of the hotel. I recommend bringing cash for tipping even though the resort is all-inclusive--the workers are all really lovely and helpful. Food was not that exciting, but was okay. Hope this helps :)
@@streetview_hd Thank you so much for all the info. I'll be going there in 2 weeks and have heard mixed reviews about it. I'll mostly be scuba diving but wanted to go into town to check out some local stuff. I plan on having cash to tip daily for the resorts and all the activities I'll be doing. If there's any more info or advice you might have please let me know. Anything would be appreciated and thank you once again for replying! Love the video and saw a few things I didn't know the resort had.
@@ben1423 One other thing regarding food--make reservations for the "fancy" dinner restaurants ASAP (there's a Mexican, Italian, and seafood restaurant). They all require reservations and get booked up super fast. I'd book them the day you check in or even earlier if that's possible. There's also a gym and tennis/basketball court if that's something you're into. Enjoy your trip!
