- proper dual-cam VTEC rips and blips with some crossovers for good measure. 2010 Si FA5, engine/trans 100% stock, minor suspension and brake mods.
GOPro Hero 3 w/external mic mounted to the inner fender where the stock intake terminates. enjoy it, because thanks to DI, tiny turbos, and stricter emissions regs nobody will ever make 'em this way again.
scouting run here, so its an easy pace on all seasons. no mustard was harmed, just a weird camera angle makes it look close. my shuffle steer sucks, i know, fight me. - Авто та транспорт
after this video he went on to refill his oil
its true
The sad thing is that sounds like this are now in danger of being lost forever. :(
afraid to say its already over in my opinion. the engine design that favors high RPM power (cam size/overlap, combustion chamber style, long exhaust runners) doesn't play nice with emissions and its just too easy to make far more torque out of a smaller engine with a turbo and direct injection, which most people want. the only way you'll be able to get an engine like the K20 in the future is from boutique enthusiast manufacturers. enjoy them while they're still here.
@@scottyb226 thanks. I've screenshotted your comment to convince my girlfriend to get the CL7 Euro R.
There will always be guys around without vaginas that will still build thesenmachines but only bring em out to play in the am
@@bonetoaddid she get it?
@@gameadventures1 still in the talks. It's not easy to own one in Singapore as it's very expensive here. Thanks for asking!
that moment of vtec induction K20r noise supremacy when he surpasses the vtec point
This is the video I have been looking for
This mic position almost sounds like ur running ITB’s haha
Upload more of your Si if you still have it!
Thanks, I'll have more coming sometime soon I hope
these roads remind me of dahlonega
Was this near the NC/SC border? I believe I've driven that road many times
This would be a super cool monster to pull mu teardrop camper with, liked and subed
dig the camper man!
what mic are you using for this video? it is an external recorder or just a gopro mic? pd: what a sound
its just a super cheap Amazon external mic plugged into the gopro, and run down into the fender to capture the noise. glad you enjoyed it!

@@scottyb226 thank you mate🙌🏻
Any internals? Sounds nasty and delightful!!
Totally stock, down to the paper air filter. Mic placement is right at the intake mouth which helps the sound quality
Induction or throttle bodies?
neither. stock car, just placed the mic in the fender to really hear the induction noise
@@scottyb226 beautiful 🎶 👌
@@scottyb226 the stock intake on the 8th gen Si's is wonderful.
I supercharged mine a few years after I bought it and while I love the supercharger, it got rid of the sweet intake noise. I still have the stock intake and panel filter on it, but even with an open style intake you still don't get that mechanical beauty anymore.
It's the only thing I don't like about the supercharger. Other than that it's been on the car for over 100k miles and about 8 years with not a single issue.
It's my nice weather car now, but it still just keeps on running.
@@volvo09 that's a phenomenal account of reliability, 100k! nice job on the self-tune too. i've had thoughts of forced induction just for the pure ease of speed but the K20 is such a gem to put to work that i'd have a hard time giving up the raw sound and how you have to be focused on playing to it's strengths with gear choice and momentum. maybe a K24 with some cams would be a good happy medium....but for now its all stock while i sort out better brakes and refresh the suspension
Turbos are overrated
