this february, it would be about a year since i first heard this song (unreleased pa). i still get goosebumps even though i've listened to this song more times than i can count. i don't think any piece of art has ever touched me the way this song has. as a child, i always had the familiar and bothering feeling of "sepanx", i think we all do. i never thought 5 people could poetically put into words the sheer desperation and fear we all feel when our loved ones are picking up there stuff to leave.
this song lyrically talks about our fear and desperation of being left behind but somehow every other aspect of it (melody, instruments, all those things) feels so warm and comforting :(

Eto kasi yung kantang tinutugtog ko para sakanya kahit di sya fan ng munimuni at binabalewala nya lang yung paghaharana ko sakanya, ambigat lang kase haha yung mga lyrics na "wag kang bibitaw" "wag kang mawawala" "dito ka nalang habang buhay" parang na-balewala lang din. This is pretty good. As a Cebuano who moved to US young, never got to learn Filipino so I'm back here with a somewhat lacking national identity. I like to listen to opm occasionally to reconnect and this sounds fresh and original for a new generation, modern opm. Even though I don't understand the lyrics. lol I seem to notice a kind of trend with opm vocals where lead singers espouse some nasal, atonal kind of timbre taking after indie bands in the West like wye oak and sharon etten.

i met a boy, he was very respectful and treated me nicely back then. i treated him really well, i showed him the love he deserves and will always be there when he needed me. one day he started to act cold and less talkative, i felt hurt so i confronted him which i probably regret doing. Turns out he was loosing his feelings for me, i cried for days knowing i did everything i could to make him feel special but in the end he only saw me as a friend.
