I sang this song my freshman year of highschool and that was about 6 years ago...i must say that of all the recordings there are of this on youtube this one is by far the best one. The soloists are simply amazing...i got goosebumps...this was one of my favorite songs...besides All my Moses Hogan favorites. Great Job! This is an awesome Choir! Keep it up. :)
I had to sing this in my high school chorus and im so glad I did. Such a great, beautiful song and both the soloists are good but the second one was fucking amazing.
This is one of the better performances of this song that I've seen on UA-cam, but including the drummer was a wrong decision on someone's part. Great soloists, unlike some of the other performances I watched. Well done!
Oh my gosh! I noticed that you have sung this piece along with My Souls Been Anchored...That IS my favorite...well one of the many favorite Moses Hogan pieces that i have. But these 2 songs are definatly on my top list. They are pretty much amazing
This teacher is amazing to have all these students at the same level of good music. She kept the soloists in good taste instead of changing it to a Mariah Carey "take"....they were both very well trained and exquisite.,,and so was the entire choir!
My choir is auditioning soloists for this tomorrow! I am like uber nervous right now it's not even funny! That, and the fact that we're a junior high preforming this at a high school. Though we normally do highschool songs so that should be fine! I loved the seconed soloist in this song! so much emotion in her voice!

with the eighth notes in the beginning the with "I am a poor pilgrim" they are suppose to be swelled according to the music. besides that it was really good!

cudos to the director. I love the dynamics. Most people just sing the song but this director moved the music through crescendos and tying of phrases.
