This is so cool you should definitely make a table with like an acrylic panel on top so like you can eat and do stuff on it but also see the wave and make like a pattern generator that randomize the waves and all that’ll be so sick
That is next level amazing! I've dreamt of making something like this, but you did a much, much better job that I could ever have done. Simply awesome. : )
Imagine a room with a floor like this for VR experiences. A floor that instantly changes to match the landscape or objects in the VR world. The rods might be built with a soft material, inflatable maybe. Wouldn't that be awesome?
This pains me because I had this same idea a year ago but never had the time or money or supplies to do it. Sadly I still don’t, but I do have ways to improve it. You could use a single motor in the middle and spin it with a paddle on the end to move the pins. You could also add roller/sliders on the sides (like a cnc machine) and have dual motors powering that and a single motor on the point of connection to move the pins. Hopefully I can work on my own version in the future. Thanks for beating me to it and giving me more inspiration!
I would recommend adding half bushes to the ends of all the axles to make sure they don't fall when moving the table around. However I know they that'll take forever as well 😅
You are hereby designated as ubergeek of the year which of course is a good thing. Truly innovative implementation of Lego hardware into a dynamic structure that appears to have limitless possibilities. Your upgrade to the large system will truly amaze!! Thanks for this post.
Little tip from my work when you are doing this. Don't insert them one at a time. Grab a bunch and move them as a pack over the surface while holdem them only lightly. That generally goes faster.
Another approach for the "satisfying mode" would be to setup a few wheels on a spirograph/orrery-style mechanism, so they move around on various complex epicycles (just be sure it's geared such that the arms never collide); you can even add some pistons driven by gears to change the height of wheels by some amount that doesn't repeat at the same point by many turns.
The amount of smooth slopes just makes me want to put a marble on the table and watch it roll around. Plus if you could control the movement of the slopes it could be a fun game.
I sit here and all I can think that this is what I’m proud of about my generation, the fact that my peers and this nations youth is being able to program and problem solve and making awesome things. Keep up the work man. You’re seriously the future.
This is so cool! I used to have these things as a kid and seeing you build this in lego is awesome. I honestly didn't think that using the silicone pizza thingy would work but it was really cool. great job!
Nice!! Hey bro can you do a favor??? Can you make a minecraft ocean with a boat and steve in the boat? If you cant do it its fine bro but keep up the good builds!!!
Are there clear plastic versions of the pins? I was imagining if they were lit from underneath. You can get a flexible grab led screen and run color animations on it as it backlights the pins.
I REALLY want this masterpiece, like you could use it for geography, with the pyramids of Giza, you put the build in and raise it, that'd be sooooo cool. Or like an Aztec pyramid or even 3d models (that are small). You can do so many things with this fun machine, this machine would be unlimited amounts of fun to play with. Just think of it, you could be sitting for HOURS on end just putting builds through this machine watching it pop up as if it were magic!
Wait those bricks are meant for a conveyor belt? I've got like five or so as a retractable bridge in a treehouse MOC of mine . . . (It works by having an axle pin under it, and when you push it, it goes forward, pushing the bridge up. It's cool)
Can you imagine how satisfying a Lego massager with the same wave motion made with all those pins would be??? It would need a much more powerful mechanism though, I think, for the pressure. Ahhh...!
This is what the concept of a 5d printer is as you showed the pins can form nearly anything it's still more of an idea than a thing being made but it's till pretty interesting
ANNOUNCEMENT!
Aztecs and Mayans... were not the same 😳
Stay in school kids.
@RedMatt ok
video idea: you can build a tank and then take it outside or to the beach.
Lol
Haha! Thanks for the correction
Hi

Literally the exact thing I was thinking when I watched the video
Yep
Great idea!!
You should put this in a Lego play place and let kids or adults build there own models and can slide it under the thing
Make a large table
the sound of the rods going back down is so nice. put a marble on the top and watch it roll around
If he makes the table he was talking about, the resolution of the objects placed underneath would increase a lot. I think that would be sick
That is next level amazing! I've dreamt of making something like this, but you did a much, much better job that I could ever have done. Simply awesome. : )
Teach me your ways wise one! 😂😎🙏
Oh my…
@@Brick_Science hi I used to go to your church
A full table that waves like that one would be by far the coolest thing I've ever seen. And good job on the one you just made, it's EPEC.
There is one
It’s computer controlled and all the pins move independently
Pretty sure it’s called the transforming table or something like that
Epic* 😅
This is such a cool idea. Would love to see a V2 of this with twice as much surface area and height
A table like this with waves that stop at the objects placed on top would be awesome 🤩
Imagine a room with a floor like this for VR experiences. A floor that instantly changes to match the landscape or objects in the VR world. The rods might be built with a soft material, inflatable maybe. Wouldn't that be awesome?
hey that’s a good idea!
Get the money people over here!
Ye
I remember seeing something like this in the Bionicle 2 movie in the arena, so this really makes me happy to see.
Legit the first thing I thought of when I saw the thumbnail was the Colosseum from Legends of Metru Nui!
The Sea of Protodermis!

Dude the sound of the pegs falling back into place on satisfying mode is unparalleled. Almost the perfect "building" sound from any of the lego games.
Little tip from my work when you are doing this. Don't insert them one at a time. Grab a bunch and move them as a pack over the surface while holdem them only lightly. That generally goes faster.

It looks so easy but he cuts almost all of the parts where he built or rebuilt he has so much patience we are grateful for people like you
I love your cat he’s so adorable and cute 🥰
Definitely make an entire satisfying table! Just imagine how cool creations could emerge from underneath!
Amazing model! Also, this being lego and grey colored, you could say it’s a lego sea of protodermis like in Bionicle 2 Legends of Metru Nui
So glad a few people in the comments thought the same

100% You should definitely build a whole table out of the pins. THAT WAS SO SATISFYING!!!
This guy can create working machines out of Lego. While I can barely make a simple house. Keep up the great work.
i mean he still cant tell the difference between a slingshot and a crossbow...

I am actually melting with SATISFACTION while watching your satisfying wave mode bro that's INSANE what you made!!!!
So satisfying, it should be illegal
Coolest project I've seen yet. It's SOO SATISFYING to see your build just pop out of the ground.
Nothing makes me happier than seeing a man happy about his insane creation of Lego

This guy should make the worlds biggest satisfying table 🤣
Ayo
this guy said "the Mayan pyramids that the Aztec built" 8:30
“Looks how satisfying this is” *the two pins that aren’t going down

"Reminds me of the old Mayan Pyramids the Aztecs built." Facepalm. Then it wouldn't be a Mayan pyramid, it would be an Aztec pyramid.
Waaiit i just relized he said that
I could fall asleep to the wave setting, thats really relaxing
WOW! this is brilliant!!!
It’s so satisfying when the things come down, and when it comes down the noise it makes😮

I love coding on scratch and that lego midstorm machine is where i got the inspiration from, so im happy to see that again lol

that was sooo satisfying that i watched the video 3 times. i love your videos so keep it up.

I Think you should Make a bị one and put a lot of stuff in♥️
That’s great the music at the end is the same music that Mark Rober uses
Omg this is so cool. How does he do this?😂
Is anyone gonna talk about how good the satisfying mode sound when the technic pens go down 👀
Thus is so cool. I could watch this all day.
"Don't be a idiot" says one of the best Lego creators ever born... Wow
Soooo cool. You should build an arm made out of Lego that you can put your arm in and That can move
Yeah î think you should make a table like that!!!! That would be awesome!!!
The two pins in the wave machine that stayed out anoyed me soooooo much

SO SO SO COOL IT'S LIKE A WATER!

Very cool. First video I of this creator I experienced. Subbed immediately.
You should replace the pins with blue ones and put a little Lego boat on it to make it really look like waves.
This is what the concept of a 5d printer is as you showed the pins can form nearly anything it's still more of an idea than a thing being made but it's till pretty interesting
it would be cool if it can randomize the models underneath.
That is so cool😲 I used that thing that moves in a library I remember I made that thing but it was a car the thing that moves
If this was nothing but blue, it would be great for waves at sea!
