Yesterday I stomped a Queen and cancelled her Ult multiple times in the same game. If you can predict when she wants to Ult you can do it pseudo-consistently.

sometimes (on brig) i have fun popping my ult and stunning her right as she does it. it's evil... but brig is evil so it's okay :)

It's a fun character, but with how Overwatch is designed he just doesn't fit in, and making him fit in just makes him more messy imo
They normally try to make a new hero a little broken to encourage people to buy the battlepass then they'll probably patch him properly for season 9.
@@superpantmanHis kit as a whole kinda just doesn't work with the rest of the game. He's the only character that can crit fortify. His ult might cancel more abilities than even emp, or at the very least can do it more reliably due to having a ten second duration. His charge can't be stopped, at all, except by another mauga charge. He has an ability that gives himself and teammates life steal, which while could be toned down, is still nuts. He has infinite ammo in his ult, which to put in perspective, the only other character with infinite ammo is sigma, which is an outlier to begin with. He's the only character that can crit barriers, even if he himself can't ignite them. Am I missing anything?
Mauga probably doesn't get ult charge off self-healing because he heals at such a constant rate that giving it ANY percentage increase would result in him constantly having ult.
So I discovered that health packs don't cleanse Mauga's burn effect even though they cleanse Ashe's burn. I think that's the only way they differ. I'm not liking that.
His burn effect wears off a LOT quicker than ash dynamite though so its not really an issue, if u get to a small pack the burn isnt killing you
You can also grip the mauga who place the cage down so you can shoot into the cage
yeah you can just trap the enemy team and then peace out lol
He loses infinite ammo tho. I'm not saying it's not worth it, but sometimes it isn't
I see zero point in his charge being unstoppable and immune to CC, if its not made so for other charges like Rein and Doom then theres no point in having charges and its just powercreep.

6:20 Popping Cardiac Overdrive still gives the damage reduction which should slow their ult charge if theyre shooting at you. So alot of the time it will still help you get ult quicker than them 🤔
The fact that you can’t counter charge him as doom but literal a bean on the ground stops a doom punch is just great balancing. Devs are cooked I swear this game is beyond saving

Watching Mauga ignore all the other tanks charges, be immune to CC, on top of his healing and tank busting kit just shows how much Alec Dawsons balance team GENUINELY hates tank.
Alec Dawson has been awful for the health of the game.
Watch them use his CC immunity as an excuse for not nerfing global CC like the community has been asking cause 'Maugas overrun keeps CC in check' like they said while excusing Antinade as a global bandaid for healing.
Yes alec, one heros single ability keeps gobal healing in check (S) - that isnt sarcasm or overreaching either, they LITERALLY said that about antinade in the reddit AMA. Watch them do the same shit with Mauga and CC. Tank sucks unless you pay for BP. Not even just pay to win, you gotta pay to HAVE FUN.

I mean, it's better to ask than work under an incorrect assumption. I personally didn't this, but then again I'm only been playing DPS and either kill or die before I ever have time to worry about green bars
New players might not know. I know when I first started playing I didn’t know the difference between armor, shields, overhealth, and health.
It's just good science- you can only find unexpected interactions by testing the expected interactions
You can never assume something in OW works the way you would expect... or even the ways the devs expect lol

Played open queue against 3 tanks (Ball, Mauga, and Dva) and ours was 4 dps and a healer and we won still lmfaoo, found out sym melts mauga and dva 😂 our life weaver was goated too lol

what did I learn: mauga is still as broken as i thought it was but this video just confirmed it. blizzard can we get a support that can only heal new heroes. silly idea but seems to fit these days
I think mauga being the only hero who cant be counter charged is kinda bogus.
For some reason he also doesnt need LOS for his cardiac overdrive.
Blizzard made sure he was the exception to most unwritten rules and only for the better.

Some of them do. Flying movement (Mercy, Pharah, Echo) and Lucio wallride get cancelled by 1.5 seconds by hack. Don't know if anything else does.
All wall climbs are, Benji double jump. Most passives are. Maybe he means role passive? Which would be interesting@@pedrohenrique-db3xd

Hopefully the devs realize that Ana grenade and Suzu can't exist in 5v5 if they want to balance things. There will be a riot, but if they just did a healing overhaul by lowering it about 30% for all characters, then change grenade to do something else, nerf Suzu, and suddenly they'll have a way easier time tweaking tanks for future balance.
the answer to balancing this horrific character is not to nerf support into the ground
it looks like the new dps passive kind of does that while not totally gimping all sup's. 20% reduction in heals if a dps is attacking them.

The worst part is that they will nerf it when everyone has it unlocked by lvling. So its ACTUALLY p2w, you pay to have the OP version... when the poor finally unlock it, it will go down the ladder so that we dont get to use it as a game changer. What happened to the overwatch team?... did they all went full californian and got offended when the balance team told them this was NOT viable?... This is insanely stupid.
