Looks like a friggin nightmare!! lol It's like a domino effect. But glad you fixed it, my friend. 👌 Glad they did away with that "Fob-gina" on the B9 (My B9 S4). But I still have to worry about it on my B8.5 allroad. So guess what? This video is going into my library for safe keeping!! LOL!!! Hope you and your family have a great, and safe Halloween!!
Any tips for getting back in the spot? I finally got the old one removed and unplugged but I cannot get it seated correctly, I feel like I’m missing something 😢 I got it back in the area but it flipped on its side and it’s sort of stuck lol
@@CarsandCodingtwo weeks later I just got it in. I bent that stupid black metal piece and guess what? I can’t snap the lower dash panel back in place LOL. Sooooo exhausted. Maybe I just leave it like that at this point 😆 anyways your video was super helpful and I referenced it many time. I’m sure the last 50 views were from me lol
hi there! how did you detach the key ignition box, my husband and I were watching your video while repeating the steps and somehow you skipped that part on 3:58 and now we are stuck and nothing comes out :( if you have access to this comment pls get back to me. Thanks '
Remove the 10mm bolt from the bracket. Push the bracket over to the side, then the switch has enough room to squeeze past the bracket. It’s not easy but it does move out.
No coding needed to replace the switch. But you need a working key. The key gets coded to the car, not the switch. Switch is just a pass-thru for the key.
My key all ok after test but now is stuck in old part and don't want out my problem can't see switch bulbus in sec click key in switch . battery and all is ok. im hope after change part switch im found way out key in old switch part. im dont found any somebody can tell me. if you know solution pls. lock stream wheel also ok .thanks
same here!! My mechanic is thinking its something to do with the Electronic seeing Column Lock Control Unit. Love my Audi but this issue is annoying me so much lol
I'm mildly shocked there was no encoding or programming needed. Good job as always.
Me too!

I hope I never have that problem on either one of my A4 B8s!
It wasn’t as bad as it could have been. No vcds/vagcom coding needed!
