I decided to take another trip down to East Midlands to catch some of the evening Cargo action. During the hours of dusk the cargo traffic comes out to play. As well as a few other regulars. Although it was August, the wind was actually biting cold and extremely gusty. Not much of a crosswind, so it wasn't causing too much difficulty for the aircraft, but certainly made filming difficult. Had to hold on to the tripod or it would fall over!
Look out for the rare visitor the UK... Wasn't expecting to see a United Express livery Dash8! Looking a bit tatty and battered it arrived from Exeter. I can only assume doing some sort of work for FlyBe? The aircraft had also been re-registered to a British based one.
INCLUDES: DHL A300 & 2x Boeing 767's, UPS 767, Star Air 767-200, Icelandair Cargo 757, West Atlantic 737-400, Jet2 737-300 Cargo, BMI Embraer 145, FlyBe Dash8's, Ryanair 737's and of course the United Express livery Dash8.
Some nice catches that evening! Shame about the wind, blowing an absolute gale and really bringing the temperature down.

I met these guys on Friday evening, I was just leaving and yes it really was blowing a gale, they have done well to get the video, great work guys, I was there again today (Mon 15/08/16) little or no wind with reversed take off and landing direction, very pleasant afternoon.

Hi, Where do you film from because when i go down to East Midlands which is regular since i live not far away we normally pull up at the gates at the end of runway 27 and walk on to the on slip road and i would love to view from where you are!
hey, im a regular spotter at EGNX, and i was wondering where that place is where you spot? i go to the spot at the threshold of rwy 27, and i carry on walking round. can you walk past the cabin near the open car park?? thanks ☺
Haha the last two times you have been to EMA you have missed an AN124. Btw have you ever considered spotting at Belfast city?

How do you get to this place to spot?
He is to the East of the Eastern cargo apron along Beverly Road. On Google earth find the 27 threshold, he is adjacent to the next taxiway, W1, close to what was the East Midlands flying school for few years.
