Health Report: Raising awareness for breast cancer

  • VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart welcomed Ify Nwabukwu, the president and founder of the African Women's Cancer Awareness Association, to the set of Africa 54 to discuss Breast Cancer Awareness month. As a breast cancer survivor, Nwabukwu spoke about her work with women who have been diagnosed with the disease, including survivors who are undergoing treatment, as well as educating, and offering support and the need for regular medical check-up, particularly in families with a history of breast cancer.
