Lois would be younger than that, as Pre-Crisis Superman was always 29 years old. That's according to the official timeline they settled on in the early 70s and was a plot point in a story where a hippy banished everyone 30 and over from Metropolis. Superman was finally aged up to 35 during the Death of Superman, where he stayed until they settled on the vaguely 40-something he is today.

Also, I can't help but draw comparisons between this story and the Xplam one (though Futureman is a man with a plan, not a desperate loser). I also think this could easily be spun into a Eobard Thawne type scenario for Superman or Lois Lane - an obsessed historian/fan from the future who is determined to make Superman or Lois' lives go the way he wants, no matter what he has to do to make it happen. That could be interesting.

I love how this story pretty much confirms that the only reason Lois loves Superman is for his powers. My favorite "Lois Lane marries Superman" story may be Lois Lane 82, in which she _actually does marry Superman_ , but they have it casually annulled because it turns out he was under the influence of a hypnotic suggestion. Very surprising that she didn't put up more of a fight about that...

      "only for his powers"

Imma chalk that up to being "the wrong thing to do" accoding only to some alien double standard, like the ones that are usually used to suggest women SHOULD act like some kinda sociopath or Andrew Tate.

It's weird seeing the early Schaffenberger art. I can see he's doing the Wayne Boring house style, but it's not quite there. It's somewhere between Boring and the later Curt Swan house style, and Superman looks exceptionally off-model in places. When he's hitting the air brakes in space he looks a lot like Beck's Captain Marvel. It's a lot more expressive and cartoony than I expect from this era of Superman, and I kinda like it. Too bad it didn't last.

And who knows what kind of calendar and time unit revisions were made once we weren't living solely on Earth? The years probably aren't 365 24-hour days long once you're an spacefaring civilization with populations on other worlds.

MORE I IMAGINE ABOUT A NEW VERSION OF (FUTURE-MAN) & OTHER CHARACTERS:
I imagine that FutureMan, falls in love with a descendant of Lucy Lane, and I imagine her name is (Sandy Lucy Silver).
You should remember that (Lucy Lane) is the sister of Lois Lane, and I think she should have a story of her own.
But it’s about her descendants, more specifically it’s about one of her descendants, and that is SANDY.
I imagine SANDY having orange hair, green eyes, I imagine her hight 5’12 tall, and I imagine she is the youngest scientist of her era.
Now I imagine that Sandy’s sister is four years older than her, and her name is (Melissa Lee Silver).
I imagine that Sandy’s brother is two years younger than her, and her name is (Ryan James Silver).
Now I imagine the secret I identity of FutureMan, is an account, who lives his life by a moral-code, and I imagine his hight is 6’1 tall.
To add I imagine he has dirty-blonde hair, purple colored eyes, he has a birth mark on his upper right shoulder, and I imagine before he gain his powers he won the huge Jackpot Lottery.
In addition I imagine that his birth name is (Zander Royce Gold) & I imagine he has a half sister, and her name is (Linda Autumn Gold).
Now I imagine that Zander’s half sister LINDA, she is three years younger than him, I imagine she is a Olympic Athlete, and one of her favorite hobbies is painting.
I also imagine that he has a code-number, that ZANDER goes by at his job, and his code-number is XL698.
To add I imagine that LINDA has a boyfriend who is a Millionaire, he is the grandson of a mining master, his grandfather is from Switzerland, and his name was (Gerfried Finn BluBell).
Linda’s boyfriend’s father is a computer business man, he is the third billionaire that’s in the world, and his name is (Bruno Finn BluBell).
In addition I imagine Linda’s boyfriend worked very hard, to become the millionaire he is, I imagine he has been blessed with luck, when it comes to making investments in stock.
I should mention the reason why he’s marked as blessed with luck, and it’s because he all guesses right on the product to invest in.
Plus to add I imagine he has another skill, that’s a secret one, it’s investigation, he uses it to check out any projects, he’s interested investing in, and I imagine his name is (Conrad Finn BluBell).

My name's XL-49, and I'm here to say
I "want to marry Lois" in a major way
I've travelled back in time just to win her hand
And see some jealousy from the Superman

I think it might be good, to write a new story about, the classic character FutureMan, and I suggest having him being a MetaHuman hero, who’s from the year3012.

The thing with X-ray vision being the same as heat vision was true for a while early in the Silver Age. This must have been very early on.

Well today’s wig is Kryptonite, ‘cos it is killin it!
Kinda refreshing to see that not all blonde Supermen are automatically evil. Lonely stalkers with peep~o~vision, bad color sense, and all the disguise subtlety of Hank Venture, but not evil!
Seriously, look up Venture Bros., Russian Guyovich and Enrico Metassa. Future man was trying to be both. Good thing his guide to “ancient living” wasn’t a sitcom, or Lois would have a whole other set of things to deal with.
And Schaffenburger’s stuff was more expressive. You can almost see Lois scheming! Which is most of the time. Futureman beware.

5:20 This issue must be from the period after they expanded X-ray vision to burning things (due to a prescientific false "understanding" of how X-ray machines and plain old eyesight work) but before they split it off as (utterly misnamed) heat vision. Yes, Superman used to cause radiation burns.

I like the cover! I guess putting the baby and kids on the cover with a space vampire and reanimated bodies could be thought as bad parenting, but that's what I wanted, hahaha!! This story Did do some set up I appreciated. I wondered why the names on the plaque didn't line up more standardly. Sloppy artist? No, plot device!

Congratulations on that cover Sasha! Finally, the comic book industry is recognising you as the Queen of Comics. Now they just need to appoint you as Chief Creative Overseer for All Comic Books, so that every comic book in the world will need your approval to be published.
On another note, it's interesting that Future Man had to use his X-Ray vision to make heat, I've read that that's what Superman used to do, which evolved into his heat vision. Perhaps you could shed some light on that, maybe in a video on the evolution of Superman's powers?
