- Pawhuska Oklahoma is seeing an economic boom thanks to the opening of the Mercantile by Ree Drummond, better known as The Pioneer Woman. Thousands of people each day are visiting the Deli, General Store and Bakery. People from all fifty states have already shopped at the Merc since it opened on October 31st. I would love to visit Ree's Store. I like her very much and enjoy making her down to earth recipes. I love watching her shows!

The Merchantile is Pawhuska's version of Cracker Barrel. I wouldn't be surprised if eventually she takes it national and starts selling franchises.

I would hire a bus tour from every major city center, Canada and U.S. to bus people in and add on other attractions on the way to Pawhuska..

Isn't it psycho that people will drive all the way to nowhere, some moving there, etc. just for a celebrity. They did it near me for Paula Deen when she was at the top. What happens when thy fall? Building a town around one person is crazy. And I like Ree.

Well, I guess Paula Deen's store is in Savannah, GA correct? At least Savannah is a beautiful town to live and visit while Pawhuska, OK is really in the middle of nowhere.

@@crystalinabacteria3430 There is no way I'd wait in a huge line to eat or to go to a store unless it was an absolute necessity. I'll watch Ree on UA-cam but that's about it.... I don't get this level of obsession for her, or even more famous people. But I'll watch this video about it from the comfort of my couch lol. To each their own.
