  • Hi Everyone,
    So here are the materials the I used
    1- ANY Nail Polish
    2- Glitter Mix
    3- Large Clear Gems
    4- Top Coat
    These are so fun to make, and so easy to do. They are super cute on cheap to make, they are great for display or as small gifts. I had a great time make these and I know you will too. Only thing is when you do these your house will smell like nail polish for a couple hours so be careful to have a window open or a fan on. Other than that they are great for kids as wel

    I have a young daughter, already into crafting. The detailed explanations in tutorial videos really help her have the confidence to try a new project. Thank you! And for people criticizing the detail of explanation, please don't just think of your own level of crafting ability. There are children and also people with developmental disabilities and learning disabilities that like to craft as well and need the extra information.

    These make great "treasures" for when my kids play pirates or princess or whatever they need treasures for. We did a bunch as an easy craft and now they don't ask for my jewelry when they play! They make great play jewelry too if you add a bit of wire or glue them to a plastic headband. Also super cute as magnets for the refrigerator. A simple idea, but lots of good uses and the kids loved making them.

    You all need to gtfo if you're gonna be rude. She never made the video to blow your mind or try and make you think this was the greatest thing since the light bulb was invented. She just wanted to give people some ideas for gifts or decorations. No matter how easy or cheap it is, it's still a cute idea and it makes a nice gift or something to put on a shelf. Nobody said it was rocket science. You all need to stop being so rude. If you were so uninterested in the idea you wouldn't have clicked the video in the first place.

    I truly enjoyed your presentation of that super idea. Several possible ideas for using them come to mind = (1) attach a small magnet on the back & use for notes, lists, photos, etc. on your refrigerator; (2) glue around a simple photo frame to jazz it up; (3) glue around top edge or over the whole surface of flower pot to add bling. Thank you for sharing & demonstrating this craft idea. God bless!

    Reading through the comments, All I can say is, I thought this was neat and if you can't say something nice, keep it to yourself. It's just as easy to think," I didn't like that, I'll go check out someone else's channel." No nasty comments needed.

    • @khella63
      @khella63 7 років тому +16

      Wesley smith,
      You're right of course, It would just be nice sometimes, if people thought about how their comments effect others. To rip someone up, when you can just as easily go find other videos to watch, is kind of a coward/bully thing to do.

      Nikki Botts I just wonder why people have to go out of their way to be rude or hateful. The craft is nice and it has a thousand beginnings and endings. My friend is going on a mission trip to Kenya and she made stones similar to these with inspirational words on and they loved them they cherished each one.
      The negative comments will continue to come... just don't give them power to hurt. They are the first ones to blame the sidewalk when they stub their toe. Keep on sharing. 💗I wonder if they understand what a bully is. 👁

  • @Lavenderrose73
    @Lavenderrose73 9 років тому +13

    Actually, I think the smaller ones would make cool jewelry, maybe even studded earrings. And the bigger ones as magnets or paper weights. But in THAT case, I'd probably put the top coat or maybe even spray lacquer over the colored nail polish to seal it in. Great reason to buy the Wet & Wild (or other very cheap) nail polish and have more color options.

    • @sheshiechan
      @sheshiechan 9 років тому

      Agreed. I already see a lot of possibilities with this. I personally love that it's cheap and easy (nail polish is often something a lot of already have in our home whereas craft paints may not be). Especially when you know that companies sell things like this for often a lot of money.

    • @Lavenderrose73
      @Lavenderrose73 9 років тому

      I got the white pearlescent nail polish with blue in just the right light. I haven't tried it on me yet, but I think it's the same stuff I wore with my blues in the Air Force when I worked in lodging. I *loved* that stuff, and I look forward to trying it on the circle gems I have here!

      Yeah, it kinda looks in some light like it's not even there, so I thought of maybe putting it over other colors (like pink, maybe) so maybe you'd see blue from 1 angle and pink from another. Don't know if that would work (haven't tried it yet lol) but it's certainly worth a try.

    A lot of people say this is not creative. While it may be true that is not really creative, it is still an amazing idea for someone who doesn't have much money and wants to do something like this to make homemade jewelry. If you people wanted something creative then there are multiple way to make this creative in your own way.

    these are cute...the smaller ones can be used in other crafts like phone cases and these would make a good display for a nail artist to show off their polish selection. my kids would carry these gems to the end of the earth because they just love crafting. Thanks for sharing!

    This is definitely my Christmas gift to my large extended family next year. I found 18" silver coated necklaces for $1 each on ebay, so I'll wire wrap these gems and give them to people as gifts. It's hard to find homemade inexpensive things that are also nice :)

    For all the haters out there calling this craft useless and too simple, here are some ideas for what you can do with your nail polish gems:
    -Hot glue them to thumb tacks/push pins and put on a corkboard
    -Glue magnets to the back and make pretty magnets
    -Place in a shallow glass bowl for decoration
    -Hot glue to a thick headband and make your own custom headband
    -Just carry them around as a reminder of what a bad-ass crafter you are cause you made these ALL BY YOURSELF.
    But wait, if you're hating on this video, Its probably because you didn't even try to make this craft, right?

    This is so cool! Thanks for teaching this! I have a lot of old polish that is going to waste, so this would be a great use for them, and they're so cute!

  • @sheshiechan
    @sheshiechan 9 років тому +1

    I'm actually really loving this idea. I already see so many possibilities (the art of thinking creatively)...
    I'm just gonna repost this...
    For instance you can do various sizes from which case you can make jewelry from it such as necklaces, rings, or bracelets; it can be used to make costumes and cosplay; it can be used to decorate items (if they are the smaller gems); it can be used as centerpieces; you can use nailpolishes then to paint on designs (of course the layering would have to be backwards where you'd paint the design then the background) which then can be anything you want like chevrons, swirls, seasonal, etc.
    The fact that it is nail polish means that you should then be able to remove it and clean the gems with acetone. So that you can recycle the gems and then repaint them as needed (maybe to fit a season, or a color scheme).

    hay, a tip from me: I did this project,and for you guys who said its a horrible thing, its great for fun and for kids. calm down.
    A interesting twist to this is to try to use different layers of clearish nailpolish, liek the cheap ones for kids After that add a layer of glitter and it looks good Another thing is that using paterned marbles makes it more interesting, like the wisp ones.

    So many criticisms about grammar from people who can't spell or construct sentences themselves. Please cut her a break, no one is perfect, she kindly made us a video and also seems like a nice person. There are so many rotten shits in the world, and people who don't deserve to be nit picked come from all different backgrounds, have a multitude of different accents and use different slang. The people from England think our english is terrible, and they seem to us as uf speaking a different language sometimes. I understood the person who made the video. Share some love people.

    Are these fish tank safe? I am going to get a beta fish soon, and I want a perfect, cute, and decorative tank for it that matches my room style and theme. These are SO PERFECT for the little rocks at the bottom, and even better, I can customize them to my likes. But, will the chemicals from the nail Polish or glitter get it sick or kill it? If not, I am so doing this!

    • @CrimsonRibbon

    • @sheshiechan
      @sheshiechan 9 років тому +5

      I prefer this personally because it's cheaper and uses a lot less nail polish then what your idea would entail. The fact that you're touting common sense means you're not thinking creatively.

    • @sheshiechan
      @sheshiechan 9 років тому +4

      Nevaeh Jackson That's the thing, it is creative because most people would not actually think to do this. Then the fact that there's many other things you could do with these gems. That's thinking creatively... it's not always something that is difficult, or takes a lot of skill but sometimes doing something that with even small bit of effort can make something pretty that in turn can make other cool things...

    I don't understand why all you people have to come on someone's UA-cam channel and watch what they posted, if you're not interested. You seem to make a big deal out of the 6 mins it takes for this gal to explain what she's making, at which anytime you could've stopped the video and moved on. There is no reason for you to be mean to her or to the people that posted to you to leave her alone. If there's nothing better for you to do but go on the internet and post hateful things to people than you would be better off painting these resin stones with nail polish and giving to strangers and when you do you should say something kind to them. It's people like you in this world, going around saying hateful things for no reason that make the world a place where you wouldn't want to have your child grow up cause they could be the victim of someone like you that is mean to them for no reason or maybe you are one of those people that was or is one of those victims and is being hurt by someone, or made fun of, or just needs someone to tell them that they are a beautiful, special person in this world, but whoever or whatever is going on in your life there is no reason for you to say horrible stuff to another person. love one another. I'm sure some of you are going to come back on here and say some mean things about my comment but that's alright. I know that you've got you're own issues and I'm at home right now unable to leave the house without a mask and rubber gloves on cause I'm on medication that has made me have no immune system at this time cause I'm living with M.S. but I would never think of going on someone's UA-cam channel and saying something mean about their craft because that's what they wanted to share with the world and I appreciate anything and everything anyone wants to share with us. ThankS for reading my post if you took the time out to read it and if it changed one person from writing a mean comment about someone's gift they've chosen to share than I've done my job and I feel like I made my little difference in the world. Love and Peace.

Did you want something difficult and complex to make these or..? Calm down, y'all. It's an idea and hey, gee whiz, maybe some people haven't thought of it? Not everyone just KNOWS this from birth. Not everything thinks of this by themselves. Jfc.
