Felipe Hilário The Bible warns against this and other false teachings, religions and says to have nothing to to with them and to expose them, speak out against evil!!!
Joe Rico Dirga I really didnt know. I just heard her because of IHOP in KC. And Ive heard him for a long time cause his songs are amazing praise to God and I had never ever heard them sing about Mary and I was wondering
No, she didn't ascend, properly understood. She was assumed by God, body and soul into heaven. In other words, it was not of her power, but that of God.
John Spinelli I believe this was a national Catholic convention held in the U.S. I have been to one last year (2019) and it brings a lot of people together but not as much as WYD obviously
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the father except through Him...not through Mary (Jesus calls her "woman" in the bible). We have one high priest and His name is Jesus...no need to repent to men who can't offer you any forgiveness. If man could forgive us we would not need Jesus to come. 1 Timothy 2:5
On your first point, you are right, "no one comes to the father except through Him". When I and other Catholics pray to Mary and the saints we are simply asking for their intercession on our behalf. This is because we recognize that there is a distinct closeness between us on earth and those who have entered into heaven (the communion of saints). We ask especially for Mary's intercession as Jesus would likely not reject the requests of his own mother, we are not expecting Mary to be our key to heaven, only that she and the rest of the saints can help us on our journey there. On your second point, Jesus clearly gave the power to forgive sins to Peter and the Apostles... "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." In the Catholic tradition, the priest (who has been ordained following Apostolic tradition tracing back to the Apostles) acts In persona Christi during the sacrament of reconciliation. Therefore we are not repenting to just any man, we are indeed repenting to Jesus himself! And we are not being forgiven by just any man, but by Jesus!!
If Jesus came into the world through mary, then I will go through her to him. Not because she has power in and of herself (she is a creature, a human like us), but like you or I, she can intercede in the name of Jesus.
Geoffrey Durocher the earth is flat and the water is made of Nitrogen. That’s what a teacher said and that is what he believed. I though clouds were made of candy floss when I was young. I was interested about all these things and though my teacher could be wrong and that clouds where not sugar.so I decided to go to a reputable source such as NASA. NASA told me the earth was a globe, and water was made of hidrogen and oxygen. It also taught me that when water vapour in the air reaches saturation point it becomes visible therefore forming a cloud. It also showed me proof of these things. The Bible is the word of God and it clearly says that only Jesus can forgive sins. No one else can intercede. Don’t fall into the devils trap read the Bible and see for yourself. Repent of your sins to God and believe that Jesus is God and that He died for your sins and be saved. So simple.
@@jakeaviator1515 Bit of a jump there. That only Jesus can forgive sins is clearly scriptural...but where does the Bible say no one else can intercede on our behalf?
I am so sorry for those who say that Mary is mother of God, please can you guys prove in the Bible? The Bible says in II Timothy 3:16-17 All Escripture is given by spiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Mike Merritt It's impossible for _Jesus_ to be the Mother of God. Ndakava Tchalua Take a look at The Gospel of Luke, Chapter 1, verses 26-38. Pay special attention to verse 31.
I'm not saying she's not to be revered for her role or is not the mother of God - I want to be as submissive and obedient to God as she - but singing to her in this way seems so much like worship that should be reserved for God alone.
Mary said, "all generatrions shall call me blessed" (Luke 1:48). That's what we are doing when sing "Blessed be the Great Mother of God," etc. The song is also singing the praises of St. Joseph and the other saints! We beleive we are a great family of God who continually pray for eachother.
But listen to the song! It's being directed at Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and the words are beautiful praise to our Lord and Savior! His name is Jesus. Precious Jesus! Lord Almighty. King of my Heart. King of Glory.
This to me is disturbing to see. I was raised Catholic and went through all the rituals of catechism and confirmation, and I never felt any freedom in that religion. When I met the true Savior Jesus Christ and asked him into my heart, I felt a freedom and peace I did not feel from Catholicism. Joining Catholics and Christianity together is not the problem that I see. The problem I see is teaching a Christian to pray, or even acknowledge that Mary or saints are equal with Christ in authority is blasphemous. That is idolatry. I cannot judge the heart of anyone, but if Christ, and only Christ is not the authority over all, then there's a problem with this doctrine. I have a problem with this and feel sad that the grip of this religion is so strong with it's followers, they find it hard to let go and seek true salvation and freedom only found in Jesus Christ.
Donny Luv “I don’t want to judge” then the next thing you say is nonsensical judgements. I’ll leave your moronic post, just so others can see how ridiculous Protestantism can be.
Well, that's your opinion and yes, I can't judge what you believe, only God can and will. If you think putting Mary and saints equal with Jesus, than you better read the scriptures and correct me if I'm wrong. Thank you for the feed back.
You never learned anything, though. The sacraments are not mere rituals. They are realities given by Christ that make real what they signify to increase the bond of our share into his divinity. They are critical to the worship of the Father because the finite cannot worship the infinite. Baptism incorporates us into his mystical body uniting us to Christ the Head which makes it possible for us to worship the Father, and that worship is in what Christ gave us, the Eucharist, "Do this in memory of me (which you don't), for every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord until he comes." (1 Cor 11:23). But, don't feel bad. It took me until I was 22 to finally figure it out. (I'm 55 now). Knowledge is one of the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit (Is 11:2-3). Christ IS the Eucharist, and you're missing it. You need to ask the Holy Spirit to help you, figure it out, too. Knowledge of the Eucharist is simply a grace given that can't be earned. You either are given it or aren't, but you have to at least ask or seek it. You are missing out on the best part of Christ on earth---really, substantially. Why would you settle for him spiritually, when you can have him in person? Jesus figured that, too, which is why he gave himself to us in the Eucharist Jn 6:55 ."For my flesh is true food and my blood is true drink. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me and I in him." When Jesus turned to confront those who said, He must be crazy...talking figuratively... he turned to his disciples and said, what? "You're right. What was I thinking?" Nope. He said, "Do you want to leave me, too?" Why wouldn't you want to abide in him, truly, and not just in spirit? No matter how you slice it, you can't get around the hard truth of that passage. You can justify the word ""spirit" in Jn 6:63, to mean "figuratively", all you want, but the Greek word used for "spirit" has no meaning like it does in English, and does not refer simply to the word, "Sarx" which means, "flesh", it refers to the whole context of Christ's words which are spirit (that is, "aniums" that which gives the body life) and life--as if to emphasize what he said, twice. So, join those of who in reality LIVE IN CHRIST, and not just in spoken word and spirit,, or remain living under-nourished.
I was raised Catholic, but praise God I choose to follow Jesus Christ, not a religion made of rules governed by the higher ups of the church. If you read the bible you would know you're not to call anyone on earth father. Jesus said: Matthew 23:8-10 KJV 8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. 9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. 10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ. So aren't you going against Jesus' own words. Please explain this to me, if you're not being told what to believe. If you live by biblical principals, and that only, it doesn't matter if you call yourself a Catholic. But if you follow any other teachings other than that of what's written in the Word of God, you better check yourself spiritually. And by the way, I was raised Catholic, and went through all the rituals. That's why I found it to be dark and scary as a kid. But that's my experience. Everyone else's is different.
@@angelicagarcia4939 I mean the musical style and mode, not the lyrics/content itself. That's why I denoted Gregorian, because it's a modal system - not lyrics.

The Bible says in II Timothy 3:16-17 All Escripture is given by spiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Mary is the mother of Jesus
Jesus is God
Ergo, Mary is the mother of God
That simple.
Ndakava Tchalua exactaly. It was the central theme of the Council of Ephesus in 431AD to oppose those denying Christ was God.
Mike Merritt It's impossible for _Jesus_ to be the Mother of God.
Ndakava Tchalua Take a look at The Gospel of Luke, Chapter 1, verses 26-38. Pay special attention to verse 31.
_psssst..._ fix your above comment...
this is beutifull

How is this not worship of Mary?
Because the focus is clearly on Jesus.
There's an entire verse that sings about Mary in the exact same way as to Jesus, though. The same worshipful words...
So, join those of who in reality LIVE IN CHRIST, and not just in spoken word and spirit,, or remain living under-nourished.
and we highly doubt you were raised catholic.
I was raised Catholic, but praise God I choose to follow Jesus Christ, not a religion made of rules governed by the higher ups of the church. If you read the bible you would know you're not to call anyone on earth father. Jesus said: Matthew 23:8-10 KJV
8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. Everyone else's is different.
this is some joel olsteen stuff definately no reference I hate to see the church turn into this.
Nonsense
Hes right @JeffBurden
Uhhhhh... yeah... I'll stick with Gregorian chanting =| this reminds me too much of the evangelical prot churches I went to growing up.
@@angelicagarcia4939 I mean the musical style and mode, not the lyrics/content itself. That's why I denoted Gregorian, because it's a modal system - not lyrics.
yes adding in those people, worshipping them, and romancing the dead, truly evil, not biblical, idol worship!!!!!!!
You're loss.
Mel Todd you are just stupid so I won't explain it.
He has absolutely no authority to dress in priestly garb..this is not how the church works
He’s literally a bishop.
Beautiful!
