I've been a big fan of Chicago/Detroit House & Techno for years. I've never seen all this great footage of Detroit dancers in this time period, cause' it was before my time, and wow! It looks like such positive fun/vibes! Just seeing and hearing these videos, I feel the energy. Thanks for posting these :)
Thanks. For the videos too. I found about this on the TV show Detroiters, in episode S02e04, I didnt know this kinda program existed in Detroit, Michigan. It was kinda gem, at least it seems nowadays. In my country,(Hungary) electro from these days(or older days) is mostly appeared as background music in those chemical experiment education videos, and national railway company education videos(somebody was an electro-acid-techno fan from the production crew, not me obviously, because I was 3 or 4 years old those days :D )
As a DJ in the days ...love this, thx
This was the era of "Dress to impress. No jeams, sneaker, boots, baseball hats." Good times
Then when hip-hop became global this style faded and was looked upon as “church” clothes or “old” people.
so fresh and so clean clean
Yeah! And not to forget... NO tattoos, piercings, no silicone and NO smartphones!
I'm speechless watching these videos. They take me to such a happy place😁
