Highly recommend getting a rolling cart (like ones people use for art supplies) to keep diapers, wipes, creams, powder, muslins, snacks and water bottle (for you) to have within your immediate reach in your bedroom. Sometimes you’re stuck with a baby nursing or sleeping on you and you can’t move so it’s really helpful to have in your bedroom and can roll it around your house if needed.
The big bed in baby’s room is a good idea because some days baby will be sick/fussing and one of the partners will need to sleep. You really can’t crawl in the crib with the baby but you might want to be pretty close. It is also good for the first few weeks or months if you have people visiting or coming to help you and you they have a place to stay or rest. At first the baby is going to be sleeping with you for sure so having that extra bed is not a bad idea.
We moved three months after our son was born, and wound up not even setting up the crib in our new house. Instead we got a twin-sized floor bed and that’s where he sleeps (he’s nearly two). It’s so convenient for those nights when he needs a little extra help sleeping: one of us can snuggle up with him in bed and we all get rest. Highly recommended strategy.
We moved this weekend, and unpacking is turning out to be more overwhelming than we thought because we need space to build furniture, store boxes, but also live and work. This series is helping me find start small and I'm seeing progress, thank you!
Your decluttering/organizing videos inspire me like no one else's can!! I can't tell you how much I love and have loved all of your content for many years now! Keep doing what you're doing! I can't wait to see your precious baby!💚
I love watching these decluttering videos; it makes me feel so virtuous, like I am actually doing something. And it does inspire me to tackle some mess of my own.
I've just recently got around to donating all my old franes that I've been collecting for literal decades, it felt so good to let them go! Loving these decluttering videos ❤
While I love watching decluttering videos, my mum and I were stressing out to make sure you were resting between rooms and taking breaks. 😅 Have a good weekend Lucy!! ❤
I guess this series unconsciously triggered my inner cleanup demon haha. I have been more aware of what I buy for a while now, but getting rid of old keepsakes has been difficult. But yesterday I sorted through the whole attic after needing to put away the Christmas stuff, and this morning I bought a lot of old toys to the local secondhand store, gave a microwave away to a friend who is moving and vacuumed all the leftover crumblies.
Tipp for yellow pit stains: put a bit of citric acid dissolved in water onto the pits of your white things and let it sit for a few minutes before washing. stains that are already there might not dissolve right away but after a few washes they will lessen considerably and it works to prevent them too.
You have inspired me to go through and organize my life! 😄 🤣 I have so much stuff I need to go through. I already dropped off a pile of stuff at Goodwill today (thrift store chain here in the U.S.) You look simply adorable!! Your sweet baby belly is precious!
I started putting away Christmas cushions and towels and getting rid of other cushions and towels it became a game of Tetris and seems fuller instead of less 😢 seems
I love watching people decluttering, it inspires me to finish Marie Kondo 😆 Can I ask where you got your shoe storage with the mirrors on the off chance I can source one?
I love your videos and really want to watch them, but the music on these last two is killing me. I don't know that I can do this much easy listening jazz again 😂
Thanks for sharing this, I have not decluttered my decluttered my hair stuff since it was cut off in hospital, bum to scalp in one go, so why do I have so many scrunches😅. ❤

Congratulations on the move! Unpacking is a task and a half but it'll be so worth it when it's done 😄

Use the old sheets for mockups!!
Great idea!
Was just about to comment this! Old sheets are the best

I did aaaalllllllllll of the decluttering this week too - my house feels empty, and I LOVE it 😂
The black dress is adorable!!
Love your hair in this! You inspired me and we went through the whole house decluttering.
Your mirror cabinet in the bathroom is amazing!

Thank you, Loepsie! You gave me that little shove I needed to get things straight around the house.
Lovely nesting video. Looking glowing with health.
Okay maybe I will declutter my house this weekend.
Good luck! 💪

Not excessive to keep 2 blow dryers. It’s sucks when one goes out.
Loving your House Declutter series!

That shoe cabinet was installed in the kitchen when we bought this house 😂😂 No idea where it might originally be from, sorry!

Ooh.. what book are you currently reading? And if you are an avid reader would you ever consider doing little book reviews?
Making my way through all of Robin Hobb's books atm!
I love Robin Hobb! There's a character named Malta in the Mad Ship series who starts out really annoying but who I really grew to love
🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
Please be mindful using candles around an infant. Soot can build up in your little one’s nose.
is that a 'birthing dress?' you open the belly zipper and out pops the baby. great idea.
I love watching your videos but this music was especially annoying 😐
