Just imagine the amazing capabilities that it would allow, holy shit Im so hyped for multiplayer coop, not as much for multiplayer pvp dog fights but that’s just me, I know for sure people want that but all I’m hyped for is doing call outs with my mates and flying In Formation with them and showing each other the middle finger out of my cockpit

Never in my life has a videogame made me read manuals on Wikipedia on how to evade radar guided missiles...let alone somehow made me enjoy it.

@@SchrodingerDeeps Yeah. VTOL VR has a much easier learning curve compared to DCS but both feel rewarding when you get into some real action in the skies

@@jjbchem a lot of people don’t realize that by default there is a g-limiter as well as sensitivity turned down, in the cockpit and on the mfds under the options you can change sens
So I know it was named “VTOL VR” when that’s basically all there was, but the game as it is now doesn’t seem too well described by that title. Sure, there is a VTOL, but it doesn’t look much like the core of the game.
That being said, “Paolo’s Near Future Military Aircraft Happy Hour” doesn’t roll off the tongue all that well either.
Well there are two VTOL capable aircraft, and one air superiority fighter, I feel that they had to add the fighter since there should be some variety of aircraft.
The F-35 is vtol (the b and the c are vtol) and then there is another vtol
2 out of the 3 are vtol capable no need to be super picky about the name

It’s has a perfect 10/10 on steam. I’ve been on steam for 6 years on my own account, and even longer on my dad’s account. Never in my 15 years on this earth have I seen a game get a perfect 10/10. It’s incredible

Just got a friend to buy it with this trailer, this game is getting seriously incredible and this trailer really helps show that to newer people.
i remember the BDArmory mod for KSP, and I see a lot of 3d assets like the missiles are borrowed over, as well as the entire boundless dynamics logo which was originally from the bd armory logo. Regardless it looks amazing keep it up!

I just got a Vr Headset and found this game. Then i realised you modded KSP and I used our mods. Totally gonna buy this game to give you something back since you made my KSP experience so awesome!!!
Had a blast testing it and even managed to do a Aircraftcarrier landing after 2 hours of owning your game. Any chance there will be clouds again in the future and a native multiplayer integration like the multiplayer Mod? I have to say you really deserve this game to get big. Just pure awesome. I would even pay for an Osprey DLC or even Helicopters in general.
Insane... I hope this game is getting the attention it deserves now thanks to it practically taking over the VR subreddit!

@@SECONDQUEST Uhhh. Its not really a simulation. Sure it simulates certain aspects of the aircraft and simulates radar (very well I might add) but its still a game.

Bahamuto if you're reading this i just wanted to thank you for working so hard on the BD armory mod for KSP. I've poured countless hours into making fighters and weaponising them to fight against my friends. Not only that, but you made this absolute masterpiece! Smiley Face just make sure you have a PC fitting headset because if you buy oculus quest or PS4 VR you will not be able to play VTOL VR, although with oculus quest you can buy oculus link to play PC vr games. :)

@@zapzz5585 My pc is the biggest problem. gtx 1050ti :( . I will be upgrading soon tho.. so even if it doesnt work now, it will work later no problem.
Well,it works bit the thing it is that they reccomend at least 1070 or 1080 (i don’t remeber) but it will be som lag so if you wont be upgrading to 1070+ then keep in mind there will be a bit lag
A lot of VR games feel gimmicky but what you have done with this game is absolutely amazing!
It has become not just my favorite VR game but my favorite game in general! I have never felt more immersed into a game. I was never really into any fighter pilot games before playing this but now I find myself researching missile evasion techniques, different controls, and just aviation in general. I even bought Jetborne racing because I just wanted more and thought maybe it would help further support you in some way. All in all the work you have put into it is amazing, thank you for the time and passion you put into the game it definitely shows !
dang you actually put this out, done all this service for the ksp community now you got a full game release on steam. gonna have to get myself a vr headset just to play this game.

I stumbled across someone playing this on youtube an hour ago and had to get it. I'm new to flight sims and have been trying to play DCS in VR, but this is the experience I needed. Playing on Quest
Probably the only game where the trailer is as epic as the game
This game is so legit it’s insane it was done by one guy.... it is the PERFECT balance between complex realism and fun video game. I could not get an aircraft into the air in a game like DCS, but was able to take off fly around and land within the first hour of this game.
Also the fact that I don’t have to drop a bunch of money on a joystick and throttle that I would only use for one game is a huge plus. This game allows you to step into the flight sim and VR world, without the immense learning curve and super expensive equipment. But the game is challenging and complex enough that you will immediately realize this is no ace combat.... it’s much much more sophisticated than that.... in the other direction this game isn’t DCS either... it’s much much less pretentious than that.
Bravo good sir... this game is worth every penny and then some. Amazing job.

Had this on vr since the day it came out, looks like its come a long way! Time to dig it out again. Using the vive controllers was surprisingly good, rest on your thigh, no need for hotas, im guessing its even better now.

Damn, I hope this comes to Quest with Multiplayer. But for real though, dude you've done an awesome job with this game and y'should be really proud. Projects like these make me want to get into game design and development myself.
Quest is not powerful enough sadly, but works already very well with Link.

@@Tom21212 I think the original rift is a great headset for a more budget and still quality headset, you need a pretty okay computer to run it though, the quest is also a budget headset just no PC and less games, VTOL VR isn't on quest unless you use Oculus Link. The Vive or the Valve Index are also great headsets, I feel if you are going to invest in VR you should research and look at what your needs are and get the headset right for you. I have a Quest which is better for people wanting to get into VR and want a cheap and very good experience, believe me a great headset but it can only play Oculus games.

We need more people to buy this so you can afford more devs to help you out. At least on the artistic side to assist with ground asset work. My only gripe is the technical limitations, artificial scaling of speed and height. There's nothing you can really do about that without loading huge maps into RAM.
At 1:45 I never noticed that the wings actually bend and move when pulling high g maneuvers. This is such a small detail most people wouldn't notice because it's a singleplayer game (as of the time of recording this trailer) and nobody stands up and turns around to look at the aircraft while in such a situation.
But it got included anyways because why not?
Recently picked this title up. I'm nearly finished with the first campaign. The mission variety and attention to detail in so many places really shows. Now that this is going multiplayer.... Wing up boys.

@@UnincredibleAim yeah that's the one I got and I don't regret it. It's my first VR experience so I can't compare it to anything but I frankly don't see how an Index for example would be worth more than twice the price.

@@UnincredibleAim Rift S doesn't have an IPD slider which moves the lenses closer or further apart depending how far apart your pupils are. For people who have either a very small or large head you may have some issues with the Rift S. I would recommend measuring your IPD and see where you fall. Otherwise a great headset.
You should be proud, this game is an achievement, and is endlessly fun to play.
Edit: it would be awesome if we could get an A10 in the game. Obviously satisfied with what we got for now however. But ya know...brrrrrrrrrrrrrtttt

I would undoubtedly love this on oculus quest 2 natively but I also completely understand the excruciating amount of restrictions that would have to be applied, so I'll just enjoy gameplay for now

Currently I'm using an Index HMD, which is by far the most comfortable and best display of the ones I've owned (vive, vive pro, rift cv1, quest, lenovo explorer, pimax 5k+), but I'm using Vive controllers since I tend to keep breaking knuckles/index controllers... There are probably other more current sets that will get the job done very well for less than an Index setup, but I haven't been keeping up so I can't comment.
You dont need expensive VR equipment like the index however £400 will get you the Quest or you can spend less for WMR (quality may vary). Goes without saying your computer needs to be pretty high up VR capable or ready.
