I guess I'm adding yet another set of books to my tbr haha! I'm really glad you had fun at yalc. It was amazing seeing you, Joel, and everybody else there (it's me, Instagram girl who came to say hi on days 1 and 3 lol). By the way, just a heads up about that french book, inside the red-face-thingy's mouth, it says "crie" which means "scream". So it's "Noémie lit et crie", which translates to Noemie reads and screams ("Noémie lit et" literally just means "Noemie reads and", which doesn't make much sense haha. Hope this helps somehow!
Ahh i am really excited to read some of these, serious concerns sounds great as does the rebecca humphries book. I would love to read heartstopper too but ive never read a graphic novel before so i am slightly apprehensive ahah! x♡x
@@leoraaileen ahh i got the first book today (also is it classed as a graphic novel im not sure) and im in love thankyou for saying to read it as i migjt not have read it this soon so thankyou so much! x♡x
I really hope you enjoy the third wayfarers book! I seem to be in the minority but I loved every one, and cried a bit at each too. There's something so inviting and human (which is ironic) about the books, and I get the warm fuzzies every time
I remember when I started reading Solitaire that I was super sceptical and expecting it to be some how super bad after all the reviews I'd heard. But to be fair I found it to be alright, it defo wasn't as good level or writing and storytelling that I was used to from Alice after Heartstopper and Loveless but in my opinion it was a decent debut novel. (I also read that edited version that you got too) Like there was the vibe of young author and being their first book but compared to some other debut YA novels I read last year it was by far on top tier rather than the worst. It held me at least in its grip of wanting to know what was going on and the package so to say held up. Like there's been a few YA debuts that I read last year and just finishing them was a struggle and even after that I was somehow confused what was the actual point of the story or why certain elements were even involved. So yeah don't go in expecting what you would from Oceman's recent work but imho it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be after some reviews.
i really hated Solitare. i love Heartstopper, but you can tell that this was their debut. i know that they redacted a bit of it in new publishings, but still, even mental health side of things isn't handeled in the best way (coming from a person with depression)
Love this video and your amazing channel and I am really jealous of you love your amazing hair colour please stay safe and enjoy your reading love your family friend John from Australia xxxx
