Owning a home and cooking outside go hand in hand. I have (4) different ways to cook in my backyard. Weber Kettle (charcoal) is great for steaks, I also have the Weber 2 burner gas grill which is great for quick stuff like Steelhead Trout or burgers. The Blackstone is a great add, my 28" gets used mainly for breakfast but is also great for smash burgers or fried rice. Then my smoker, that gets my ribs, chicken or brisket where I need it.

For the first one, focus on what you like to cook. Hands down that Weber kettle is a great all around. Good for steaks, burgers, chicken, even ribs. Gas is great, but nothing beats the taste over charcoal.@@DerekBaranProductions

You’re young tho and you could always moved back. Florida’s car scene is insane and car season is all year. Once you have kids and are more rooted down it’ll be harder to make big moves. I would say take the plunge make the move so you have no regrets. One of my favorite quotes is “I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done”.

You all waited to pull the trigger on this decision and evolved and matured to the point it’s not as easy as bouncing on out. Excellent move to step back and look at all the consequences.
Those mowers really haven’t gone up a whole lot compared to when I upgraded in 2016 and paid $1650 for a 42 inch cut Cub Cadet but they still cause sticker shock. If you want you could hire a lawn service for awhile.

I left NJ end of November for Florida. I should have done it years ago. Beautiful weather nearly every day. You can drive your cars year round. I got rid of my suv for an R8 spyder just so I can have a convertible in Fl. Its another world down here man and the car scene 🤩

*just a different shade of green.. lol. Experience tip. Get several small sample cans of paint so you can see what the color looks like on the wall with your lights. Made that mistake on painting the exterior and had to buy all new paint..
As far as moving to Florida i agree with how you feel about only having a little bit of family. Friends I would have agreed 5 years ago, but going through that exact same thing I can say that people grow up and eveyone starts their own life and families. Time spent will be more limited as eveyone is involved in their careers and families. I realized I needed to live the life I wanted and not hold back. A flight is cheap and when you have extra cars and room for friends and family its not much money at all for them go visit and use it as multiple mini vacations throughout the year.
I assume you'll do your research, but the airb&b market isnt looking too hot. Lot of neighborhood communities complaining and laws going into action on what can and can no longer be used for short term rentals. Fl has added about 30k homes to the markey. Its also the biggest market of second homes and a lot of people are losing out thinking they could bank off short term rental. Of course things will change by the time you guys are ready for that, but as someone whos deep into the fl housing market I just wanted to share that bit of info. Looking forward to the garage build bro.

Anyone who lives in the Midwest or East dreams of living in Florida. As you get older the winters are less tolerable. I agree it’s hard to love away from where you’re born or established, the babysitting and family help is paramount.

I moved back to Memphis TN from Las Vegas after having kids trust me when you do have kids being close to family is a major component. Everyone always ask how could we leave Las Vegas to move back home but the answer is easy why live in Vegas when you can’t do Vegas things because you have to take care of kids so don’t get down on it you can visit as many places as you want and nothing is quite like being around family and friends!!

Perks to zero turn it is way faster and can lay nice stripes easy. But it takes 2 hands to drive and too bumpy to keep a beer in the cup holder. And not go on hills but if lawn is flat look at a zero turn will saves tons of time. Lawn tractors have their place better on hills better to tow with better to sit back enjoy a beer while you mow. Whatever you but do not get it from Lowes. Find a lawn mower dealer because they are the ones that's going to fix it later when it breaks.

I just got my Xpipe done along with the Steeda Trans insert and Steeda shifter Body bracket, And OMG the NVH is freaking (horrible Bad)... I am told it's the trans insert, so I'm going to get that trans insert out this weekend and see if it quiets down and calms down the car. The vibration is out of control to me. I am 50 and want the car to be calm at 2000/3000 RPM.. Right now it feels rowdy like a race car, I guess if I was back in my 20's I might like it, but this is to much...

I’ve got a gen 1 raptor, it’s definitely worth it they’ll go up until 300k miles. We also take it off roading and it’s overkill on the trails. Would definitely make good content if you take it off-roading.

Congrats on the house and I’ll tell you this… family is everything… I moved to Texas when I was 20 and ended up meeting my wife there and stayed there for 16 years… we recently just moved back to my home, the Mississippi Gulf Coast, almost 2 years ago… we both love our families and are pretty close but we can’t be two places at one time… her parents are now looking at moving down this way when they retire… so stay with the family man, they’re there when you need them most, especially when kids move in! And more food for thought is living in Florida, flood insurance, hurricanes, it all just adds up to big time money so it’s better off just to visit every now and then… so fret not! Enjoy the new home and adventure brother!
If you have natural gas, I'd think about getting a gas grille. No propane or coals to deal with. We got one on a pedestal, aluminum and stainless, like 25 years ago for $900. I just spent about $300 revamping it, so it's good for another 25 years!

When your considering a truck, consider the suspension and what you intend to use it for. If you ever want to tow one of your vehicles I’ve heard the raptors suspension isn’t very good to do that with. Check out JD Joyride and check out his videos on the raptor he had for a short while. He regrets getting rid of his F350 to toe with. Just a thought! Keep up the cool content.

South Florida is so expensive. I lived in Richmond (midlothian), Asheville nc , and now south Florida near west Palm. The weather is great, car scene is great, but bro it’s stupid expensive. Especially Palm beach broward Miami dade counties. Car insurance is out the roof, housing etc. I don’t blame you at all man, I moved on a weeks notice a year ago down here, but I wouldn’t change it. It is awesome down here. Before you buy the epoxy from Lowe’s, hmu. I run a store for Sherwin Williams and can help answer questions/give you guidance to reduce chances of any issues. Prep on floors, especially garage floors is crucial.

@@DerekBaranProductions that’s good to hear, I’ve been to many complaints due to prep. Just make sure after grinding it feels like 120grit sandpaper (can also sprinkle some water on it and see if it absorbs within about 15seconds). If you’re doing flakes, don’t sprinkle them down, throw them up in the air and let gravity do the rest otherwise you’ll get areas of high concentration of flakes. Make sure to put a clear over flakes otherwise they will come off with scuffing or sliding stuff around. If you need anything let me know, I’m happy to help!

definitely go with a zero turn! And dont buy it it from a big box store! Buy it from a dealer and make it low end commercial...it'll be more reliable with commercial parts, and faster and a better cut. trust me, i know. I have 2 commercial zero turns, scag and a toro.
