Love to get this mask but I wish I didn’t have to spend a stupid 300 dollars where I can buy a 20 dollar voice activated mask but I wish it has a integrated audio system
I just got mine! I'm setting up for the unboxing video but the comments here are insightful. I think the comment about getting a phone call in the mask, what would it sound like for the receiver on the other end? Also, is the ANC truly ANC? I have a bunch of earbuds and just reviewed the #NothingEar1 and the ANC on a brand new product usually has bugs and hiccups. I'm sure this first gen product straight from the box will have issues with bluetooth and ANC. Waterproof? what's the IP rating if there is one? So many questions but great job. Your audio in the video was hissing in my headphones? I would clean that up with software but great review 👍
Thanks for the watch! yes, I was having issues with the software this time around. I have never used the phone function so for me to comment on it would have been uneducated. I don't believe it is waterproof but I could be wrong... Guess i would have to disassemble it like Johnny 5 to figure that one out. ;)
Would have been a better view if you had actually tried it on and talked about how the mask effected your breathing. Did the air smell cleaner? Was the air temperature around the intake and outtake ports cooler? With a zero return policy it would be helpful to know whether the dang thing works in terms of purifying the air and allowing the mask wearer to breath freely.
When you drop this kind of money on mask like this you expect a level of quality. I don't think trying it on to say the air smells cleaner was necessary. Another point is that any fan system blowing any amount of outside air into your mask is going to make breathing easier and a bit cooler. It sure beats wearing an N95 with a good seal that will definitely hinder your breathing. So I guess the answers to your questions are all yes.
@@g1toys2014 The point is not to pay $500 for a mask that has to same quality and effect as a $40 Chinese knock off or functional equivalent that can be purchased on EBay or Amazon for $39. 🤷♀️ So a discussion about the practical functionality of the mask is certainly important and necessary. Anything less suggests a marketing scam.
Haha looks pretty dope Ive placed my order for one should get it in a week or two, can't wait to wear this and the bus drivers that know me react and ask how I got it 😂
Great review. I’m always happy to see new ones. I have two black ones and a white one. Now I’m waiting for that Razer! Re. the weight - I call them face helmets for that reason. They slightly I obstruct my lower view, I have to wear a second mask to seal the nose area and they’re heavy. I think it’s a great season to have received them, but wonder what the summer brings.
Yes, the bridge of the nose seal doesn't quite do it for me either. I can feel my breath escaping when I exhale unless I put a baseball cap on and put the mask over it. Then it tends to cinch up and seal better. The Razer looks ok but they can't do better than N95 filtration? HEPA or P100 would be nicer. Hmmm, Not a big fan of seeing the face underneath also.
Glad you like it! I wouldn't say it is the most fashionable but it gets the job done. I wish it hadn't stuck out as much on the face and had a better seal around the top of the nose but overall I am happy.
Good question and I should revise my review. The seal around the top isn't the tightest unless A- You have a large head or B- You wear a hat with the mask and you put the strap around the top of the hat. I would say Yes, in most cases air will escape and fog up your glasses unless A or B applies.
That’s not quite right. About how HEPA filters work. HEPA is a type of pleated mechanical air filter. It is an acronym for "high efficiency particulate air [filter]" (as officially defined by the U.S. Dept. of Energy). This type of air filter can theoretically remove at least 99.97% of dust, pollen, mold, bacteria, and any airborne particles with a size of 0.3 microns (µm). The diameter specification of 0.3 microns responds to the worst case; the most penetrating particle size (MPPS). Particles that are LARGER or SMALLER are trapped with even HIGHER EFFICIENCY. Using the worst case particle size results in the worst case efficiency rating (i.e. 99.97% or better for all particle sizes). Also, there is no “Naked Virus” floating around, that just isn’t how they work, the virus while airborne, or otherwise, will always be bonded to something larger. You should worry about things which fall into the range of 3 or 5 microns. Which is far larger than the 0.3 worst case scenario. These particulates are what Covid can bond to, and float through the air, to enter your body through the respiratory system. To be clear, they can bond to other particles, however those particles will be larger than themselves, at 0.1 microns. They are below the 0.3 worst case scenario. Which actually means a HEPA filter would have a slightly better rate. As particles which are larger OR SMALLER, have higher efficiency ratings. And since what they bond to is above this WCS 0.3 microns, it also means they have a higher efficiency rating. And honestly, anything “slightly higher” than 99.97%, is insane.

That feature is known as "Ambient", which is a separate mode from Noise Cancellation On/Off.
Good question. I noticed the white noise while wearing it but the noise cancellation is directly linked to the microphone you use to speak into.
Can you wear glasses with it?

This mask does look awesome, but what’s the point of having this mask of it doesn’t protect you from COVID?
I never said it didn't. It's for the individual to do the research and make that decision. My decision is that it probably would help to prevent it.
The disclaimer says it all! It doesn't
