She followed the advice of the song. This album went nowhere. Her next one was more pop and her career took off. She never made true country music again. She stuck with what worked. This is still my favorite song she ever did.

I played this song whil driving with my dad and my little niece.. dad had no idea about Shania twain.. i played anyways.. and at the end of the song.. we all were quiet and out of nowhere Dad said" she has such a beautiful voice" and after that i played again.. ill raise my kids to have this kind of music taste . Shania song will be played in my house as long as i live.

I remember seeing Shania for the first time ever preform this song on 'the neon armadillo" tv show. I was probably a freshmen in high school. I remember thinking she was awesome and, of course, drop dead beautiful, but it was still a few years before she really hit it big in the music business.
I went to her concert in Fargo and she follows me on instagram and Twitter she said she loves it that I go to her concerts

This video is awesome, anyone recognize the older 'good time Charlie'? an amazing man, Charles Durning, was a dance instructor, started acting in his early 40's, 218 acting credits, always as a supporting actor, went ashore in the first wave on Omaha beach on D-Day, he left his story behind and was heavily involved in supporting veterans his entire life, he died in 2012, I love this song, my mother used that expression 'dance with the one that brought you'' - lots of different meanings - Shania's performance is outstanding, and for me, Durning being in the video makes it even better - I would love to know the story behind him being picked for this video
