Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney's 20th anniversary is coming up in a few weeks, so we're gonna get slightly ahead of the game with a celebratory Pursuit remix, this time from Dual Destinies.
I keep saying I'll do a non-pursuit theme from this game soon but... ya know. I keep hearing other AA songs I want to pursue.

BEST pursuit theme let's go
There's so much righteous conviction in this one
It honestly sounds like it was pulled straight from Hyrule Warriors
This song is excellent, but the OST as a whole is Iwadare's weakest Ace Attorney effort and probably his most uneven period since Lunar Eternal Blue (which had awesome battle themes and beautiful standout tracks alongside unusually repetitive town and dungeon themes).
Trials and Tribulations, Spirit of Justice, and (especially) Investigations 2 are all stronger OSTs overall, with the latter rivalling Silver Star Story Complete and Grandia 1 as the best work of his career.
Chronicles is also stronger than Dual Destinies, but Iwadare didn't compose it.

Honestly, I've kinda been missing this Pursuit theme... It's been so long since I played Duel Destinies, and unlike a number of fans I actually enjoyed it. So, it's nice to see the game getting some love.

Dual destinies is actually my favourite game of the series (except dgs but that's almost a game on its own)

I’ve been waiting years for this, and it’s just as great as I’ve always imagined! People always seem to overlook Keep Pressing On, but it’s one of my favorite Pursuit themes in the entire series. You’ve done an amazing job here!

Oh my goodness... This is downright incredible! It hasn't even been a month since I beat Dual Destinies, and then THIS comes out. I really did become an Ace Attorney fan at the perfect time.
(Also, I love the fact that Courtroom Revolutionaire is played after the song ends.)
I would love to hear a full acoustic cover of Athena's theme! I can never decide whether hers or Apollo's is my favorite.
@@gyppygirl2021 Yeah, it's hard to decide. I think Apollo's Objection theme just barely beats out Athena's Objection theme for me because I had more time to get attached to it in Apollo Justice.

Dual Destinies was so criminally underrated, but to me it introduced my favorite AA character in Athena Cykes and my favorite pursuit theme, as well as some of my favorite cases in the entire series, this cover is a blessing
For me, it had...
-my favorite female character, Athena (she beat out Franziska, my previous favorite, by a _landslide_ )
-my favorite case (Turnabout Academy may not be the best case in terms of quality, but I love everything about it nonetheless, especially Klavier's cameo)
-more backstory for Apollo that actually makes sense (not like whatever the hell they did to him in Spirit of Justice)
-easily my favorite pursuit theme (only one that even comes close is AAI2's)
-my favorite final case (Turnabout for Tomorrow is almost perfect, I don't care what anyone says)
and last but probably actually least,
-my OTP (Athena and Apollo are practically made for each other)
Gotta put my vote in for Pursuit - Questioned and Pursuit - Cornering Together. We need all the AA songs finished!

I’m a massive DD defender. It’s actually my favorite of the 8. Not including DGS which I separate a bit more.
DD has my favorite soundtrack. By a FAR CRY. This song is amazing.
It makes me sad to see people hating on Dual Destinies in the modern day. It's really a brilliant game that deserves more respect...
DD is underrated. If it just picked up on more story beats from AJ i think it would’ve been better recieved
@@GreenDog3 I can't disagree with that. Since there was no mention of Thalassa, that left Spirit of Justice open to draw out that plot point even more... also, while Trucy is one of my least favorite characters, even I can see that Dual Destinies kind of did her dirty.
DD wasn't perfect, but there's so much to love about it. I'm also a sucker for stories of confronting trauma, which DD was a shining example of. I accept that it wasn't the best from an objective writing standpoint, but it remains my favorite in the main series. (Only surpassed by Investigations 2 and the Great Ace Attorney duology)
@@joshhaworth2155 it’s biggest flaw was having 5-1 take place in the middle of case 4. And the rest of the game has a VERY strong transition for both Phoenix and Apollo bettering themselves and gaining trust for each other. Because their trust was non existent when Phoenix wrapped up 4-4 and that lead to a lot of bitterness and resentment towards his new mentor that REALLY gave weight. And somehow everyone missed it because 5-1 happens near the end of that arc and it REALLY confuses both their progress at that point.
Other than that, DD’s writing is just as good as the other games.

During the lockdown last year I delved into the Phoenix Wright series on Switch and 3DS and it helped keep me from getting too stir crazy. Fell in love with this series and love the music behind it!
I mean... crazy stuff has happened the series. If anything, it helps to not get crazy by playing them.

Also, I would love it if you would do a medley of two songs from Touhou 18. The first one is Lunar Rainbow (the final stage theme), and that would lead into the second, being Immemorial Marketeers (the final boss theme). The first acts as a serene but strong buildup to the other, which is a frantic finale.

I know this probably isn’t a very popular opinion, but Keep Pressing On is probably one of my favorite pursuit themes. Don’t get me wrong, all of em slap, but this theme’s just so triumphant, yknow? The others feel like you’re still fighting, this one makes you feel like you’re winning!
