Jitterbug is basically a 1930/40s slang term for swing dancing. You would "go jitterbugging" or "do the jitterbug".
This infectious 80s classic is a guaranteed crowd pleaser. And the video definitely cemented George Michael's heartthrob status.
The Choose Life tee shirts are iconic by British designer Katherine Hamnett, who was known for her bold slogan shirts.
And shout out to the short shorts!
Love Wham, brings back so many memories of my youth. Great reaction
Oh yes! One of my many guilty pleasure songs to listen to! We never got to see them in concert but when he went on his solo career, we saw him in concert! I enjoy rock and roll and heavy metal too, but this song just makes me so H A P P Y! A feel-good song! We wore all those glows in the dark clothing and accessories! This video made me buy those blue/white two-toned shorts and I wore them well and good too! Enjoyed your reaction KSO! Thank you! ☮💕👍
The CHOOSE LIFE T-shirts were by fashion designer Katherine Hamnet, for an anti-drug & anti-suicide campaign.
George Michael had a fab voice, great reaction Kso 🌞👍
Sincerely great reaction. I remember when this song and The make it big album was released. Great album. I also remember my friends giving me hell because I was more of a rock chick but I absolutely loved this album. That’s when I realized I don’t care about the genre I just Love really great music. This song is so much fun how can you not love it.Thank you for reminding me of those times❤️✌️🌼
Good Times !
I don’t know your age, I remember being in a cab in Chicago, couldn’t have been more than 12, and I just thought this song was flipping fabulous…. So cheers, lovely. Enjoy the fun,
Oh wow l needed this!!! Oh l loved the eighties…l loved that we all looked so individual, there was no pressure to be just like a Kardashian or something. It was so lovely. Fun fun fun times! When l was young…lol. These songs always remind me of Princess Diana and listening to Duran Duran. Swooooon! Love you hunni!❤️❤️❤️
The guy playing the guitar is Andrew Ridgley. Together, he and George Michael made up the group Wham. They were very successful but were only a duo for a short time. Record execs realized the star of this duo was George and his looks and vocals
He was turned into a solo act.
“Playing the guitar” is probably an exaggeration 😉
Always fun. Let's enjoy thanks for the spirit lift.
On a crowded dancefloor those arm movements could be almost lethal! Such a great number.
Wee, that's put a big smile in my face!
14 year old me fell in love with Wham! When this song first came out, I remember there was a sort of sense that you couldn't openly like their music as it wasn't 'cool' like some other bands at the time. You'd be mocked a bit if found listening to them, but that changed quite fast as Wham! (and George Michael in particular) grew in popularity. In my school at least, there was a friendly rivalry between Wham! fans and Duran Duran fans.
Ah yes, the short shorts. It wasn't until mid 1990's that the knee length baggy shorts hit the fashion scene. I'd just started college and remember laughing at guys who looked totally ridiculous wearing them. Now people laugh when seeing the shorts guys wore for decades that were actually short!
Hi Kemi, good reaction on Wham‼😊
Please try next 'Club Tropicana'. Another cool summer-feeling smashhit of the 80s from this duo.
Kemi I saw Wham at the CNE back in 1985!😁
Fun song!
George Michael was fantastic.
Man, it is cold outside tonight! Do me a favor tomorrow morning, wake me up and pour me some cocoa! 🤪
Loving this interpretation of a cheesy UK 80's hit!
I was waiting for you to notice the pants. That was the style back then.
George Michael is the best singer. Maybe you should react to his hit One More Try. It's amazing!
Thanks to Zoolander, every time I hear this song I get the urge to go to the nearest gas station and start a gas fight.
Just saying hello Sincerely so. Love your music reviews and interpretations. I been A subscriber for A bit of time.
Welcome aboard!
George is so missed
Hi Hunni!
K.S.O., try

George and Freddy never dueted
You're correct. George performed at the Freddy Mercury Tribute Concert with Queen after Freddy's death. He sang Somebody to Love, it was an absolutely amazing performance, maybe even better than Freddy's. Everyone should check out that video.
Amazing but, nobody (except gay people) thought he was gay.
George Michael was gay. Andrew Ridgeley the guitarist wasn't...
