7 Seconds was the first punk show I'd ever gone to. Met some kind strangers there willing to show a kid a whole new side of life, and those strangers became my closest of friends. That show opened doors for me. I felt like I belonged there more than anywhere else in the world. I started playing guitar later that month. I'd always listened to punk, but 7 Seconds showed me why that music and that lifestyle is such a great thing. I'll miss this band.
Seeing some comments accusing them of ripping off Foo Fighters. 7 Seconds did this sound in the late 80's with the Ourselves and Soulforce Revolution albums.
7Seconds was one of the first punk bands I ever listened to, over ten years later, this seriously makes me so happy. Love the sound and content of this, proud of them
This actually isn't a new sound for 7 Seconds, check out "Ourselves" or "Soulforce Revolution" from them in late 1980's- I'm sure Dave Grohl was a fan back then. 7 Seconds sounded just like this way back in the 80's...
You know, it's interesting...I could never get into their late 80s catalog, but I really like this track and their final record is solid start to finish. 7 Seconds, R.I.P.
I understand that they are called the Foo Fighters. A Foo Fighter was actually allied aircraft in WWII that monitored the crazy shit that was reported in the sky, such as U.F.O.'s. I used the term "Food" Fighters to rebel against the commercialism in which the band stands for. I can also say "Fool" Fighters or "Foot Oder" Fighters. But, in reference to U.F.O.'s, I suggest that you check out the band "U.F.O." And not to sound negative, I also suggest that you get a sense of humor. Lighten up a bit.

Seriously like what you like, but this does not sound at all like the same band that made the Crew, and Walk together , rock together.. Or the collection that was sold as alt.music, hardcore album.. Those early albums of 7 Seconds I loved.. I played the Crew on a cassette album in the late 80s over and over as a 16 yr old.. This is not the same band to me, this might as well be a different band. But if playing this stuff is how they choose to evolve and what makes them happy , then thats their choice of course.
The rest of the album sounds more like the earlier albums…but seriously they have released so many albums it’s difficult to not become formulaic … most hardcore bands of the era split after one album because they’ve said all they can say and explored every musical idea they are capable of…7 seconds went on a bit of a U2 inspired trip for many years and I found it hard to listen to at first but in time I came to appreciate it all….a song like this going back to that era of seconds is bang on the money for me…and the lyrics, combined with Kevin’s vocals (which have really never changed since the crew! Incredible….don’t smoke or drink guys!!) really hits this one home hard….this might be my fave seconds song ever…

His vocals are special on this. Great song.
The lyrics to this....make my heart swell. I love the music, the message.......
I'll miss this band. We need music like this now. Been a fan since '86. Thanks Kevin and crew...

Stop it. You're scaring the kids. ;)
Satyagraha!
Los 7 seconds son los papás de los foo Fighters !
I saw 7 seconds last night. They still have gas in the tank. This song blew me away (I hadn’t kept up with their releases).

Reminds me so much of my senior year in high school listening to their album Ourselves. Damn glad to hear them still putting out great music.
Just bought it. It's awesome. 7 Seconds will never die.
Finally a decent artist from Rise.
Saw these dudes at The Electric Factory last Summer. They played right after H2O and before Judge. It was an amazing show.
Love this so much
It's bands like this that keep me subscribed to Rise haha. Helps me tolerate all the other shit.

Well done
Anyone under 40 keep your comments to yourself, please. Please don't compare these guys to the Food Fighters
^I agree with you, though I'm 17
Although I agree with you, they're called the Foo Fighters. (And I'm 16, so not everyone under 40)

I mean, it wasn't very obvious that you were joking. But yes I agree, the Foot Oder Fighters do suck!
i thought you making a reference to the Food Fighters toy line. oh well.
their new sound is nice. I like their old stuff the best, but damn, they are aging well.
For some reason when I saw the post on fb with this song, I literally thought it was only 7 seconds long...

Fresh your brain
20 years ago I would be so mad when they'd play this stuff at shows. PLAY FASTER! but now that I'm couch potato I can dig it.
Call them the poo biters

wtf
I don't like 7 Seconds, but I love the other bands from U.S. For example better than 7S are, starting from A: AFI, Aiden, Anti-Flag...:)
