@@hitoshishinsou9192 He could hear, actually-for the majority of his life, anyways. He started losing his hearing in his late 20s; but only became completely deaf when he was 44/45. For reference, he died when he was 56; he finished his 9th Symphony when he was 53; and he started composing when he was around 12 years old. So yeah, he could certainly hear for quite the while! When he started going deaf, he actually started isolating himself from everyone else; pretended to be rude rather than admit he hadn’t heard something. And… he genuinely believed that it would end his career if the public found out. As he said in a letter: “how could I possibly admit an infirmity in the one sense which ought to be more perfect in me than others?”

If only Beethoven could hear this.. It's a shame that he wouldn't be able to though, but if he could, I think he'd be happy to know that people centuries later still think of his work as a masterpiece.
He couldnt hear to begin with
@@hitoshishinsou9192 He could hear, actually-for the majority of his life, anyways.
@@caelum860 I know what caused him to lose his hearing. It is happening to me as well but with modern technology I can still hear his music. What causes this is the stapies bone in your ear to get a calcium build up that stops it from moving. Over time you slowly lose your hearing and all you hear is a permanent ring in your ears. We now can fix this but what I was told is I will still lose my hearing. I'm glad to hear the world but knowing that everyone's voices will fade is a blessing and a curse.

Jazz. Rock. Rap. Country.
Long ago, the four genres lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Rappers attacked. Only the Composer, master of all four genres, could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years passed and my brother and I discovered the new Composer, a country singer named Aang, and although his square dancing skills are great, he has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone.
