There are six Harmm's beer commercials done in Spanish from the late 1950s. Instead of saying they are advertising that Harmm's is beer brewed in the land of sky blue waters, they are saying it has a big fresh taste.
This will put me firmly in the geezer category, but I remember these commercials when I was a kid, sitting on the shag carpet on Sunday nights with my brother and cousins, watching Mutual of Omaha‘s Wild Kingdom with Marlin Perkins, and The Wonderful World of Disney. I thought it was strange even then that they would mix a cartoon bear with beer, but I appreciated it because it gave me the same feeling of excitement over someday becoming a man that I got when I went into Pep Boys with my dad and smelled the rubber tires, or the car repair shop and smelled the oil. Gotta hand it to Hamm’s too for getting the younger generation ready early and preparing their next wave of boozers. Now that’s planning ahead! 😂 🍺
At one time Harmm's was brewed in Baltimore. In 1961 it bought the defunct Gunther Brewing Company and took over that brewery. Sadly, Harmm's was a sales bust there, and the brewery died in 1964.
Theodore Hamms brewery was in St. Paul, MN. The building still stands on Minnehaha Ave. East. The former Schmidt brewery building is nearby. Hamms and Schmidt had been associates.
My Dad was an ad man thru the 50s 60s and 70s. Hamms was one of his biggest accounts. Somehow the word got out that my Dad invented the Hamms bear. He did not. He often began his speeches by letting the audience know he did not invent the Hamms bear. He loved the ad business and Hamms was probably his favorite account he ever handled
One of the handful of things I can't find after 25 years of web surfing, is the Hamms radio commercial that aired circa 1996-1997. "Wanna get outta here...to the wide open plains...where there's air you can breathe...and beer like no other....a place called Hamms, it's the land of sky blue waters". If anyone somehow has that, I'd kiss your face.
Great collection, but i remember a commercial where the bear is going after a hit baseball but it's caught by a real life size guy with a tiny glove on his fingertip. Anyone remember that??
Good job repairing the audio on this video since the last time I watched it, now it syncs up perfectly! Any chance of posting some of these classic commercials individually?
Can't beat that! I did too, but in my time it might've been a little more - maybe $2.99. The real deal was $3.99 twelvers of Beast Light or PBR Genuine Draft.
@@joeblough261 Lucky Lager was the cheapest. It was a California beer and I don't think they don't make it anymore. Under the cap for each bottle was a rebus that you couldn't figure out unless you were buzzed.
While it's great to see a lot of these rare old Hamm's commercials, the audio is way, WAY off. Is there any chance that you re-upload this with a fixed audio, or even upload a few of these commercials individually?
Great nostalgia of a wonderful time. Sadly the woke Liberals complained the cartoonish advertisemens encouraged children to drink ... eventually. Cartoon bears BAD. Weirdo outrageous cross dressers reading books at storytime to small children in kindergarten ... GOOD. Where is our nation going? BRING BACK CARTOON BEER COMERCIALS!
I think it’s one of the better cheap beers that doesn’t give you a headache in the morning but I would honestly spend $1 more a bottle for a beer that’s amazing
Thank you. This collection is fantastic. Reminds me of my dad. Back when commercials were entertaining and made sense.
It did. Saw this through my parents too.
I feel like Im 8 years old again , watching AWA wrestling saturday mornings. Awesome collection!!!
I remember many of these great old ads, and I really like Hamms beer!

Grainbelt are us.. Hamm’s was above my 9th Grade pay grade.
70’ Rocks!
I'm really craving an ice cold Hamm's from the Land of Sky-Blue waters! Refreshing!
I just bought a six pack of Hamms 16oz cans for $5.99! (21 July 2024) I love these old historic beers!

26:49 - I dunno why, but this is the Hamm’s commercial which has kinda grown on me. 😊
I have been watching Hamm's ads on line since the days of dial up.
A lot of good ones here I had never seen.
Thanks for sharing!
Awwwww how refreshing.

This week, I'll be on Rainy Lake on the Minnesota-Canada border, said to be location for photo and film shoots. Hamms is my go-to brew.

Correction: Grain Belt is brewed by Schells, my apologies.
Pretty cool they did a jingle to the tune of the Minnesota Twins theme song.
Other way around. The song came from the commercial
Great collection, but i remember a commercial where the bear is going after a hit baseball but it's caught by a real life size guy with a tiny glove on his fingertip. Anyone remember that??
And the television in the bar is broken, as well. I don't remember that ad personally, but I have it on a DVD of 1,000 commercials.
If they drink this for a couple decades, they end up looking like giant Hams. Lol 😂
26:33 - Dan Lauria or Richard Kind?
❤God Do I remember this 🍺
22:30 - Mike Farrell!
I drink Hamm's beer
I drink Hamms almost exclusively.
these commercials have so much anthro potential it's a shame i've never seen anyone touch on that
33:20 what are they doing in there
That first commercial is the twins theme song. Which was first?
Good job repairing the audio on this video since the last time I watched it, now it syncs up perfectly! Any chance of posting some of these classic commercials individually?
I second this!
When I was short on cash I would buy the beer refreshing. When I was bucks up COORS.
4:00. Howard Platt from Sanford and Son?
39:58 - 41:00 “Bowling” - Animated by Ed Love
Hamm’s is now brewed by Schells, in New Ulm Mn.
Correction Grain Belt is brewed by Schells.
I drank Hamm's all through college. $1.79 a sixer.

Still apart of the Big Beer Drinking Brotherhood of Hamms - less than four bucks for a sixer in Texas.

Love it
0:28 - Is that a Disney castle in Anaheim?
42:10 - Bill Daily.
42:30- Vic Tayback.
44:09- Rocky Graziano and Sugar Ray Robinson.
Also bj hunnicut from mash. What are we going to do with all these pretzels?
Great job thanks
Drink 🍻 and Enjoy.
Delightful!... although, I'm drinking PBR.
I wonder if im the only 16 year old watching this 🤔
Disappointed you didn't have any of the live bear commercials.
Tearjerker 13:23
In fairness, the fox had it coming for that trick.
Great nostalgia of a wonderful time.

Where is our nation going?
BRING BACK CARTOON BEER COMERCIALS!
Of this land of magic intention…
I swear the narrator in the "Join the beer brotherhood" at 1:00 is Ronald Reagan. Listen again...
5:19
So how did the soundtrack get so far out of synch?
Probably some cheap AVI joining going on.
0:25 win twins
Some of these are politically incorrect but nothing like the one at 2:02. Good heavens
Nothing non-PC about a "One-Man Band".
Great graphics and ads but the beer is shit.
WRONG!

Hamms beats Budweiser any day of the week.
@@magnificent6668 Haha yeah that’s saying a lot.
