    Watching this again after a couple of years. Still bloody impressive. Took mine out yesterday to scrub-in the new Pirelli Diablo Rosso tyres and enjoyed the magnificent soundtrack of this engine through the back roads of WA. Glorious noise! The old Bridgestones had reached their limit and liking the Pirellis now. I’d only sell this bike to get another one. I’d give this video another thumbs up if I could.

      Thanks Dave. I'm living in Queensland while my bikes in NZ. I've been waiting patiently for a mint CB1300 to ride here and keep for ever and ever, good ones seem hard to come by. Enjoy your new Pirellis.

    Fantastic! Probably weighs half again more than most machines there and corners well. I love mine and it’s quicker than the performance figures would have you believe. Looks identical, 2007 model.
    Great riding skills- right there!

    • @multihull40
      @multihull40  4 роки тому +2

      Dave Johnson. Thanks. Yes identical bikes. Agree...the performance figures don’t do it justice. Its that good spread of torque from way down low to midrange, and better top end than my old GSX1400 that makes it so much fun without being manic!

    what tyres are you running and what pressures for this day? I have an 09 Super Four and I just put on some T31's so I was curious. thx, great video. Pipes sound epic.

      Hi Nick, tyres are Continental Road Attack 3. I seriously recommend these come time for new tyres...get freshly manufactored ones. All the reviews i read are eerily spot on. Here's one amcn.com.au/editorial/continental-road-attack-3/ My rears are finally due for replacement for track use after God knows how many track days they've done...way more than my selected track day videos. Plus touring, including last years Burt Munro with pillion plus luggage. The guys running the track days recommended i run low pressures of 30 psi cold front and rear from memory...this ensures they build heat fast and stay hot and sticky. When the day warmed up i'd increase the rears to about 34 psi cold from memory. Surprisingly my fronts are still good, given the trail breaking hammering they got.

    Bro , this was an Awesome video!!!! Now you really showed that big Honda is capable of 👍 Watched other guys " Top End " run on a cb 1300 a few minutes ago , and almost fell asleep 😴 Boring!!! You need to go teach
    Don romance how to get through the gears on them big Hondas . Your exhaust sounds Awesome too !!! Really enjoyed your video bro , got me thinking maybe get rid of my Roadstar and get me a big Honda 1300 , cause man I miss the speed of my sportbike , but due to back surgery , had to give up my sportbike days, but a nice setup standard would be just the ticket 👍

    • @multihull40
      @multihull40  2 роки тому

      Glad you enjoyed the vid. Sounds like the bike would suit you perfect. Of the GSX14 and XJR13 the Honda is my fav because of its better spread of power delivery and torque, and particularly the handling with good tyres. Super comfy means more enjoyable = permanent grin 👍

      @@multihull40 Hey Retro , thanks for answering back!!! After watching you I am definitely giving serious thought to getting one of the Hondas , my last sportbike was an 04 cbr1000rr , and man oh man do I miss the speed , the ride ,, the fun !!! My buddy has an 01 FZ1 and I rode it but absolutely hated it!!!! Worst suspension ever!!!!! Thanks again , and I'm subscribed now 👍

      @@gd6349 ...thanks Greg. Those bikes are modern day peaky fast. The 1300 by contrast is old school fast meaning more relaxed, super smooth and easy and comfy to ride. I've got mine stored back in NZ and can't wait for the boarders to open. Good luck with finding a good well maintained one to take for a ride and see what you think😎

    Play to your strengths! Nice work. Do you guys break into groups based on skill level? If so, what group was this?

    • @multihull40
      @multihull40  3 роки тому +4

      Yes 4 groups = slow / medium / medium-fast / fast. This was combination of medium and medium-fast stitched together. The fast guys were very-fast!

    • @multihull40
      @multihull40  3 роки тому

      If it’s in mint condition and rides well than 54k isn’t too many. Very under stressed engines. Mine’s mint with 65k. New brake pads/fluid, fork oil, chain / sprockets and new tyres and they feel like a new bike👍

      @@multihull40 okay, good to know. Yes, these tyres are great. I saw on the thumbnail that you have installed an akrapovic exhaust can. Did you change the intake as well? (airboxmod or K&N)

    • @multihull40
      @multihull40  4 роки тому +1

      No, stock standard.(it’s a Scorpion can) Would probably benefit from a good tune if I knew someone good Took the baffle out for the track...with the baffle in you hardly hear the engine note from inside the helmet, to help time the gear changes. Rarely took it above 7,600rpm... no need to and it saves the motor.
