G'day Paul, your a wizard finding the right parts too get you out of trouble, l have noticed you workshop is quite crowded with the bits and pieces of you working life, l have a 60ft X 30ft Shed/workshop and l have trouble fitting the bike's l have in and when one needs repairing all hell breaks out moving things around, think we both need bigger sheds, cheers mate, Neil 🤠.

I have one of these bikes. I’ve been given a value for the offset by a club member, but I have never seen it written down anywhere. I have the Meriden workshop and parts manuals for it and can’t find any reference to the offset anywhere. Do you know of a published reference for it?

Hi Phil, no but funny you should ask. There was a 7.5 mm offset on the disc side of the wheel before I stripped it, but when I rebuilt it with a rim of the same width, I could only get it down to 9.5 mm because the spokes on the disc side were getting near vertical and losing their ability to pull the rim over any more. In some notes I have, another T140 rear wheel had an offset of 9.5 mm on the disc side, too. The rims before and after this rebuild were both 32 wide.
