- Ryu, the Crimson Hawk Ranger enters the Grid!
Lord Zedd has weakened the Morphin Grid enough to start breaking down the walls between realities, and Ryu finds himself transported to the world of the Rangers where he acquires a Power Coin and takes on the mantle of the Crimson Hawk Ranger. While his enemies may be powerful, Ryu brings to the battle his trademark stoic, reserved poise and lifetime of Shotokan training. His fluid, almost water-like fighting style is deadly at both range and up close, with his moves executed using classic, genre-defining input commands. Keep opponents on their toes from a distance with classic Hadouken, or punish aggressive play up close with his Tastumaki Senpukyaku or iconic Shoryuken.
The Street Fighter Pack will be available on May 25 for $12.50 across PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Steam, and Stadia. Players can also buy each character individually for $5.99.

Hearing Ryu shout “IT’S MORPHIN’ TIME!!” sends all sorts of chills. He really gives Tommy and Jason a run for their money!
I love Ryu but my money is still on Tommy. When he became the white tiger ranger it was like he became one with the morphing grid and there's no way Ryu is tanking or damaging a Megazord.

Yea I've always seen the white ranger as the ultimate super ranger, and that's how the MMPR lore treated him as well. Its too bad they let fans influence later appearances too much and made Green way more prominent than he actually was.

Yep, which might be why they decided to give him a Master Morpher. His top position was taken when Ryu Ranger was first introduced in Legacy Wars.

Yea I was like “oh god they actually refrenced that…” of course after getting over the fact THAT RYU IS A POWER RANGER.

They got the actual voice English voice actor for Ryu; Kyle Hebert??!!
Kyle Hebert voices both Shadow Ranger and Magna Defender, so they were already connected. I'm personally more used to Ryu's Japanese voice but I agree that's really cool.
It's bizarre to hear Kyle Hebert's voice in a Power Rangers game.

The Shoryuken has to be the most legendary move in fighting game history. It's 33 years old and still going strong.
I love how this video shows ryu doing all these crazy combos. But they forgot to mention that unlike everyone else ryu will not have easy specials .so you cant press forward and the special button for a hadoken you actually have to do the half circle forward motion like in sf games. This is ryu ranger with old school sf moves.
Ryu has fought almost everybody or almost every franchise in the world.
The X-men, the Avengers, Thanos, Tatsunoku, SnK, Pikachu, Mewtwo, Charizard, Mario, Bowser, Sonic, Cloud, Sephiroth, Megaman, Tekken, etc...

Would like for another story added to the game as well as Phantom Ranger and Titanium Ranger, but this is the coolest!

I mean, the Hawk Hadoken is new. I don't think he ever had that before.
Yea the EX Hadoken is the new hawk one from Legacy Wars and used as a re-stand here, but they didn’t make his step kick the sliding one he had there which I think is a shame. Either way though what separates him here from his other versus incarnations isn’t the move set but rather Battle for the Grid itself, how it plays with crazy OTGs, overheads into combos and what not. It’s that stuff that really allows him to thrive and strut himself like never before, especially with the suit.
And to be fair Power Rangers get power ups even when they are already Rangers, so Ryu already having powers doesn't really mean this transformation didn't add to power.
Was wondering when they'd make the jump from Legacy Wars.

I’m just dying to see the *Cammy* and *Guile* Rangers in action
A lot of fans including me are wanting to see Ken, Sean, Cammy, and Sakura join Ryu, and Chun-Li as Rangers on the BftG roster as the Black Raven Ranger, Yellow Fox Ranger, Green Panther/Cougar Ranger, and Pink Hare Ranger, as well as see M.Bison, and Akuma get on the BftG roster as villain reps.
It would be so amazing if a new map got released alongside these characters :D

Two different teams work on each of those games. Legacy wars is their cash cow
@@Jagotron Not really. I'm pretty sure Tony Porter, the audio guy, works on all of their projects. The combat designers for PRLW and WWEU also help ShadyK test BFTG stuff. They're a small team, so that's normal.
Remember that legacy wars is what inspired battle for the grid guys without that mobile game this would never had of happened

Tony’s an independent contractor, not an nWay employee, and the games really are primarily worked on by 2 different nWay teams. BFTG probably wouldn’t had lasted this long if not for LW’s MTX if we’re being honest.
Ryu has faced marvel, tatsunoko, nintendo ips/Final fantasy/square enix ips/pacman/Solid Snake/Persona 5 Joker/Sonic/Banjo kazooie/Minecraft steve/ Bayonetta/ SNK/ Tekken/ The Griffins from family guy and The smiths from American dad/ Was in fortnite/and now the power rangers.

All that's left is the DC universe. I'm still hoping for that one to happen. Capcom's Trinity vs. DC's Trinity!! I want this before I pass on.

My first fighting game was street fighter 4 and now I get to play as ryu while he’s a power ranger this sounds like something I wouldn’t have believed would exist a few years ago

I loved the Street Fighter Showdown Crossover Event that Power Rangers Legacy Wars did. And given the description it looks like we may get a epilogue story-mode set after BftG's main story that is essentially a reboot of the Street Fighter Showdown storyline from the Power Rangers Legacy Wars crossover event. Which means if Capcom is willing to play ball with Hasbro, and Lionsgate Games a little bit better this time we'll not only get Ryu, and Chun-Li as rangers we'll also get on the BftG roster Ken as the Black Raven Ranger, Sean as the Yellow Fox Ranger, Cammy as the Green Panther/Cougar Ranger, and Sakura as the Pink Hare Ranger, and M. Bison as one of the main antagonists of the crossover storyline, and a villain rep on the BftG roster only this time instead of Bison teaming up with Rita like in the Legacy Wars version of this crossover, he's teaming up with Lord Zedd, and possibly Akuma as a neutral antagonist in the plot meaning while he's not allied with the Rangers, he's also not a ally of Zedd and Bison, along with being another villain rep on the BftG roster.
i’ve never played Street Fighter
when i had a PS3, my mother purposly gave me Super Street Fighter IV(and Tekken 6) for the Xbox 360
so by default, i had to forfeit ownership of those games to my brother who happened to have...
an XBOX 360
and in Legacy Wars, i don’t think i’ll get even NORMAL CHUN-LI
so this is a huge huge HUGE plus for me
