You have to feel for these smaller carriers when things like this happen. Good that they found some alternate aircraft to cover their flights. Main cause? Lack of concentration and attention by the tug crew.

I wouldn't be too quick to point the blame at the tug crew, there could be other factors, like did they have wing walkers. But, it could have been them

What a shame for this splendid, nearly new, red A-330! Somebody was obviously not paying proper attention to the task in hand. Such an unnecessary accident and headache for the airline. 🛩

Correction. Air Greenland former Airbus was the A330~200 and not the A330~300 🙂. Thanks for your channel 👍

The simple answer is probably 'human error.
As to why we are hearing about so many ground incidents, that probably deserves a video or two!

As concerning Ground Operations, Aircraft Handling, Ramp, these are Very Serious and Precise Operations Concerning the Movement and Ground Traffic of Aircrafts which requires Precision Act and alot of Concentration to avoid this kind of Minor Incidents, They are only minor Incidents like this but major incidents are rare, Although it's just a Minor Incident that will be easily fixed.

Seems like a lot of people commenting who likely have never towed an airplane, especially to remote parking areas. From my 20 years of doing that, I can tell you remote parking or hangar areas tend to be underlit, often in the case of remote parking wedged into an area unusable for anything else. The person operating the tow unit has limited visibility of the wing on the side opposite of his seat, since the body of the plane blocks the view. The tow operator may be scanning for obstructions, but the focus is largely on what is in front of the tow path, including moving equipment or other aircraft, if the hangar doors are correctly opened, etc.
Others assume there even was a J line painted that the driver was on and following, but that is not a given. Was the SAS plane even parked correctly? Was the nose wheel on the stop line for the type of aircraft parked there, or was it stopped on a different type of aircraft's stop, which might have put the aircraft outside the containment envelope?
Until ALL the facts are known, people should not be so quick to pass judgement. Especially if you have never done the job, and have no clue how many risk factors have to be computed throughout any repositioning.
If you would like to get a grasp of the complexities, pull up the FLL airfield, and look at the space in front of the fire station where up to 6 planes can be wedged in. All have to be pushed in tail first, avoiding other aircraft parked behind,to the left, to the right, with no guide lines outside the parking area. Oh yeah, that is blacktop, so there are times when it is raining it is impossible to see any markings there . At least it is only rainy in Florida about 7 months out of the year.
