It's not a low ball. It's just a pawn shop being a pawn shop. They totally validated the value of the guitar at 750 to a mil; they just can't pay that because their job is buying low and selling high. If you think getting 2/3rds of what something is worth is an insulting low ball, you don't go to a pawn shop. Unless that pawn shop gives cool free estimates and puts you in a UA-cam video in a popular channel. What the guitar is worth is what the pawn shop thinks they might be able to get as a retail price. You, the supplier, have to accept a wholesale price.

You go to a big auction company and they charge a 10-20% commission advertising reserve fees if you don’t want to risk an absolute auction in case no one bids and end up getting a lot of the money possibly 30% . Plus 3-6 months wait for the sale and three months before they cut a check.

Some Stupid Info, I had a '54 Strat in 70's Vegas, Ser# 0337, Had Shallow Routering, Cloth covered Wiring. Somone Broke in and Stole it, Miss It. I Was Building Electronics Into Guitars and Added Dimarzzio Super Distortion Dual Humbucker Pickups, Besides My own Electronics, Would Install MXR distortion Plus into them. Would need Routering. When they Stole It, I had a Tele Neck on it as they Were Both 4 Bolt, Pink Floyd Has/Had? Serial # 0001. I Would Install Output Jack upside Down. Was Something to Do. Electronics was My Focus, But 2 Strat Bodied I Refinished were 2 Accidents, 1 was in a Fire, had the Front Sandblasted, Harder Grain of the would would be more Raised, painted The Recessed wood 1 Color Brown, the Raised another Color, forget if I sanded to get to Lighter color, or Rolled on top for the Second color, Really Showed the Grain. I Nothing about Paint, So When I did Lacquer Over Enamel, It Cracked All over, When Dried, Sanded it, Clear Coat, Was a Cool Look. After that, It was Clear Sanding Sealer, a Few Coats Lacquer Lot of Sanding And Polishing. Did All by Hand, The Buffers and Wheels Make this an Easy Process Now.

It’s crazy to think that an old item that’s been kept in good condition for 60+ years is worth less than a used 2015 civic you’d be paying atleast 2x the amount. In the 90s you’d be able to sell that item for 4-5x the amount of a used 95 civic.
Quick Google search. Neil Boggs is known as the pioneer of the electric steele guitar and a musical virtuoso. Played on over 2000 records and with every notable musician of his time. Just because you've never heard of the guy. She should've googld her Dad for his man becaue she knows who he is. This guitar has been converted *BACK* to a right-handed guitar. You can tell by the orientation of the thickest strings…therefore it’s been modified away from the way Jimi played it and is therefore worth less money.
If that was a guitar played by Hendrix it is worth noting it is currently strung for standard right-hand play. Either it wasn't played by Hendrix or the person that received it from Hendrix restrung it so they could play it. Um... Corey has never heard of Roy Rogers?? It's definitely a low end 12 string. The "nice" Ricks had sunburst paint jobs, checkerboard bindings and much nicer hardware.
Modern Rickenbacker 12 strings cost more than $2,000 new...no way a 1965 is worth only that much.

This guitar has been converted *BACK* to a right-handed guitar. You can tell by the orientation of the thickest strings…therefore it’s been modified away from the way Jimi played it and is therefore worth less money.
If that was a guitar played by Hendrix it is worth noting it is currently strung for standard right-hand play. Either it wasn't played by Hendrix or the person that received it from Hendrix restrung it so they could play it. Um... Corey has never heard of Roy Rogers?? I can understand him not knowing Bob Wills.

But you have to have proof that that event happened and that object is the one that was there. E.g. if we have a guitar that, say, Abba used in presenting The Dancing Queen song to King Carl XVI Gustaf and his bride-to-be, Silvia Sommerlath, the day before their wedding, and if that guitar could be proven, that would have to be worth something.
