Portable / Handy Recorders - Equipment I Use.

- I've been asked a lot about what equipment I use for recording sounds in the field. So, in this video, I have gone over some of the current Handy recorders I own and some general thoughts of them all.
I'll be doing a video around external microphones I use at some stage soon too - so keep an eye out for that one. The plan beyond that is to do another around field recording accessories I use including deadcats, wind protection, tripods, mounts, power banks & all that other good stuff you will no doubt need / use if you are into field recording.

Nice video. I have also collected many recorders and microphones. I like all of them, never getting rid of them. If anyone ask why so many, i just say this is what i like to collect and its my hobby.
@@wpkambiancesounds cheers mate. Yeah that’s a good point. I’m sure I’ll end up with more to be honest - I keep eyeing up a Zoom H2N cause I’ve never played around with one.

@@wpkambiancesounds it does seem a good recorder - and I’ve just seen about an hour ago there’s a Zoom H2Essential (newer version with 32-bit) so I think I’ll just bide my time haha

Hello, my name is Ryan and I'm a recorder-a-holic. ;o)) Get help mate. We're here for you if you need to chat about it. Had to laugh, as you said just about every recorder was "one of my favourites". Ha ha. Sadly I know what you mean though. I just have a H1n, H1e, H6 and a F3, but errrrrrrrrr ..... those Tascams look good, as do several of the old Sony's as an every day carry, even though my H1e is my new every day carry. Those F6's and Sound Devices are pretty sweet too.

@@EQAVOX Ahh OK, in that case I'll let you off. Got to say you had me searching eBay for nice used Sony's after I finished watching the video. Damn you ! ;o)
