i think if leech life wants to be as viable as super power during the leech life animation it has to have hinderance resistance or lower cool down. especially since the reason super power is better is because better control of the enemy, a lot of damage especially aoe, and you can win team fights by kidnapping enemies.
Resistance sounds cool. One idea I got to piggyback off that is why not make the muscle gauge the resistance factor. This will be a rework, but rather than consume muscle gauge immediately, each CC on you will deplete x% amount of muscle gauge. When muscle is zero, u are stunned out of it. We already have a precedent in the boss rush bosses, where they get stunned after x amount of CC, muscle gauge will be similar to that.
A hindrance resistance on Leech Life is basically as good as unstoppable, because when you Leech Life an enemy you and the enemy are stationary. The difference between Hindrance Resistance and Unstoppable is that Hindrance Resistance grants immunity from stuns but the Pokemon still does get slowed depending on the intensity of a stun.

Would be nice to get def/spdef buffs while in animation or being able to slowly move while sucking to avoid singling out a single target in a group of enemies.
Since Leech Life is about keeping yourself alive while doing damage, the cooldown could be reduced everytime you either receive Ability damage or X autoattack damage. This way, There is a reason for Buzzwole to trade damage even if Leech Life gets interrupted (Having cdr only when interrupted feels a bit counterintuitive)
Completely agree with your suggested change for Leech Life. Been playing tons on Buzzwole before and after the patch and yup it's a great move but WAY too punishing if they have a full heal, are just out of range, stun you, ect. It CAN do stuff if you're not interupted, but that's a rare occurrence.
Lunge as well, I'd really love to see both the bug-type moves be made more useable.
The buffs for leech life are good but I doubt that the 50% healing (instead of 75%) was the reason why it didn't get use. It gets stopped too easily, surely is great on a 1v1 scenario but on team fight the move is gonna get stopped very easily. To fix this problem, either you give him hindrance resistance while he's using the move (but this would probably make it broken) or, as you said, you give it cooldown reduction when the move gets stopped; basically you could give it a similar mechanic to wicked blow: in which when you cast the move without charging you get less cooldown on the move.

To answer the thumbnail question, it's because all your opponents had the guts to run anything which isn't an Eject button.
I like your CDR suggestion for Buzz. It would sorta be like Chandelure's Overheat where the more hits you land, the higher the CD and the less hits you land, the lower the CD.

I think it depends on where in the rankings you are playing. Leading up to Masters, definitely use Leech Life. The sustain from it is wild.
Master 1200-1400, probably situational. You may use Superpower more often but Leech Life will definitely have it's moments.
1400+, definitely Superpower.
The reason I split this up is because trying to get to Masters, rarely will you actually be on a team that moves as a unit which Superpower needs to really take advantage of the immobility it causes. Once you hit Masters, you will still be paired with Ultra players and low ranked Master players who just came off Ultra, so you won't notice a significant change in the quality of your matches until probably after 1300. Once 1400 hits though, you won't be paired with Ultra ranked players (at least from my experience from the last 2 seasons) and you are more likely to get players who will move as a unit compared to before. Not a significant amount of more, because Solo Q climbing sucks.
Thats my take anyways.
Your suggested change for Leech Life sounds perfect.
Now for possibly an unnecessary change, would love the passive to last about twice as long, at least if you're the one to get the KO or do the most damage to the downed opponent.

I love playing buzz w leech+lunge w float stone+atk stack+item of choice & xspeed. Float stone does work for buzzy boi since he’s so slow imo. No one can face buzz if he catches you
I'd rather use emblems to make buzzi boy faster than float stone. Float stone kicks in when you're out of combat and only provides meagre attack, I'd rather have 100-150 movement speed all the time than it being activated while out of combat. Something like a spoon should be added for melee attackers. I use focus band attack weight and weakness policy/cookie/muscle band.
@@MichaelScott69 floatstone increases your movespeed by 20% outside of combat which is way more than just 100-150 extra movespeed. Inside battles you will be using smackdown/lunge to reach the opponent anyway

I remember someone commenting "Love for India" at one of his vids. Then his replies was bombardment of "from" Lmao.
I tried it out but it gets cancelled and goes on cooldown and it's cooldown is long. They need to tweak it similarly to that of zacian/Charizard unite moves. If move is cancelled the cooldown will be lower.
Maybe some cool down emblems and an energy amp would help?
Yeh they have to do like when leechlife get cancel then you have to wait 4s instead of 8 to have the move back. I think it would be fair since buzzwole can't do anything afterword without unite move.

Give lunge CDR for leech life. That way you're either getting more leech lifes off or you pick smack down for control.

I've always preferred leech life than super power, buzzwole was my first pokemon to buy after i tried playing it with a free trial when i first downloaded the game, and the moveset was smack down and leech life, i shredded attackers with it and can bring down any defemders' hp down to half
Before the buff of leach life was good but now is better but uperpower is next level
Would lunge giving you hindrance resistance for 1 second after use make it finally viable and work well with leech life

the buff leech life needs to be good is to make you unstoppable and give incapacitated other cc immunities, you can even see at the first altaria spawn your own umbreon is able to cancel your leech life with foul play.

YES that entire sequence of events at 4:38 is why I dont like playing Buzzwole either. The buff he got was cool but doesn't even come close to fixing his real issues which are the range of his moves/CD and how easy they are to avoid/miss/interrupt.
They really need to make buzzwole unstoppable and take reduced damage during Leech life but heavily reduce the numbers. Idk but they need to rework the ability around

The best rework to Leech Life by far could be reducing the cooldown to 3 seconds and then make every S U C C add more recharge time so getting denied will not be equal to being neutralized to the ground but also sucking to death some defenseless enemy will have a reasonable drawback.

Timing leech life is the only skill you need. Cuz after than you gain so much hp.

Cris how would you feel if the plus move on leech life would be like superpower? Every time you get a full muscle gauge your leech life gets completely reset.

i feel like if leech life gets interrupted or they escape, the cooldown should be halved

Its still bad but not as bad as expected. But I might use Full Heal and Lunge instead of Eject and Smack Down simply because I don't want Leech Life to to get cancelled during the big moment. Other than that, Superpower is still way better than Leech Life.

I may not be a pro buzzwole main but i play a lot with buzzwole from its release ... I believe super power is way better than leech life .. leech life can only be a meta when it recieves some buffs as hinderence resistant and other as said in the comments. TIMO
