    This is an amazingly, painstaking job requiring a talent that is beyond belief. I wouldn't be able to create anything like this in a million years at gunpoint.

    Amazing how the binding instantly changes the look to ‘jeeez this is gonna be an expensive guitar’.
    Bang on job and as I’m sure you already know, you are a true craftsman.

    Did you use a gun heater to form the binding at the top of the head stock? Whats your technique ? And how do you manage to cut the binding angle properly when the binding is already glued on the headstock? Thanks

      the heat gun is usually used with wooden bindings, with plastic ones it is used only when you have to make very tight curves as in this case. you have to be very careful to heat from afar otherwise the plastic will melt. I cut the binding abundantly first and then once glued I finish it with a sharp chisel, it takes a lot of attention and experience.

    Amazing.
    What type of router bit are you using for this double binding ?

    • @RossLiuteriaItaly
      @RossLiuteriaItaly  Рік тому +1

      It's a specific binding router bit with a set of bearings, you change the bearing depending on the deepness of the cut you need. For the double binding you make a first cut with a deepness of 3.5mm and the second cut 1.5mm deep, lowering the routing bit so that you can get the "step".

    Non ci vuole molto a fare un lavoro migliore di gibson ma sicuro ce ne vuole per battere le copie migliori delle gibson e te batti anche loro ♡

    how thick does the veneer need to be to route it out for this?

    shouldn't the top V be more pronounced and the wings be wider and more cartoonish like Gibson ?

      It depends on the shape you choose :) they're not all the same. The committent had chosen this one.
