CDR in game feels impactfull, i'm sure it stays. The reason they take the current value is so you approach lower cdr slower. Ofc the system breaks when you have items that increase it temporarily. Solution is to store the current value without increase on the item and calculate from that.
I wonder if you can somehow confuse the game with skills that conditionally give cdr and items that increase cooldowns to permanently buff or debuff your board, like shuffling with the one that gives 5% cdr if you have 4 items or less and brace.
the skills might be coded as a modifier after everything else, so it might not work (as opposed to "reduce cdr of this item permanently", which modifies the items value itself) ...that said, it might also Not work like that, which would be _incredibly_ funny to pull off
You can, Ferros Khan has a skill "One Shot, One Kill" that increases a weapon's cooldown by 50%. If you have the skill and one weapon on your board, that weapon gets 50% more cooldown reduction permanently.
When a character is so broken you get bored and play what the bazaar gives you instead
wait until he discover Belt and increase life interaction. Everything in the game at moment work with temporary items.
The CDR cheese is hilarious and I hope they find a way to keep it in the game without it being exploity.

3% reduction of 5 is nothing so 3% of 6 is still nothing.
0.18 is something
