    Great review! While not quite as long as this flight I flew a return trip with Air Canada from Vancouver to Halifax and for a 6 hour flight all you got was a beverage. Not even a snack. And they only did two beverage services all flight. I mean they have a decent onboard menu for purchase but there are some flights to Europe of that length where they serve a full meal and a light breakfast/ Bizarre.

    I remember flying on American from San Francisco to Honolulu in 1986 with my family. 4.5 hour flight and full meal in economy.

    I think it's only on first class and business class that gets the food

    If the ticket is cheap enough I'd definitely choose this carrier of this leg. If you are that bothered about food they buy it before you board.

    I'll be flying this route in June, only airline non-stop for under $1k in the economy, but I have Venture X Lounge Access so I'll probably grab food and coffee there prior to the flight to make sure I'm good onboard.

    Meanwhile a 1 1/2 hour shorter flight from Phoenix just gets 2, maybe 3 biscoff packs.

    I can’t believe they would have the audacity to not provide food on a flight like this.

    • @Blaglag
      @Blaglag  Рік тому +1

      They provided small snacks and a wrap but for an 8hour flight, a full meal should have been given. Thanks for watching!

      @@Blaglag airlines are making a lot of money since the pandemic, there is no reason why airlines can't provide unlimited snacks and drinks for free. I flew volaris from Las Vegas to Guadalajara last Saturday, while the cabin crew was nice (there weren't rude) the inflight service started about 45 minutes or 1hr after we took off from Las Vegas, NO FREE SNACKS OR WATER, the charged for everything, I flew mexicana from SFO to Guadalajara in the mid 80's and 90's, about 30 minutes after takeoff, the flight attendants started the inflight service, dinner was filet minion or chicken, followed by cheese and fruit and french pastries, NO CHARGE FOR DINNER AND DRINKS

    This is literally like traveling from Philadelphia to Amsterdam without being fed anything but snacks and possibly a wrap. That's completely unacceptable. You are traversing half the bloody Pacific. They should serve a meal, a wrap before you land, and offer snacks for purchase. My goodness!

      Exactly! My 6 hour flight on Qatar included a full meal as well as a sandwich before landing. This flight was almost 2 hours longer. Thanks for watching!

    You have got to be kidding me, that’s less than what Aeromexico gives you on the MEX-ORD run in economy, on a flight that’s half as long. It’s long past time to retire “BuT ThE PaNdEmIC” excuse

    AA really turned me off to their service...I had a connecting flight, I was with my family at the time, 4 hr flight and they just gave us a bag of peanuts, we were starving. Granted it wasn't too long but a meal should always be an option, even if it's just sandwiches and cookies...it would've helped a lot. Plus there was a lot of turbulence and the plane felt pretty janky...definitely avoiding AA in the future. Your flight ofc was twice as long as mine, they should've offered at least two full meals like lunch and dinner-heck charge extra for it but at least give people food when they need it.

      Thank you for sharing! It is very interesting to see American Airlines simply not provide a full meal on such a long flight. It’s obvious middle eastern airlines are way better but on my 6 hour Qatar flight, I got a full meal as well as a sandwich before landing. This flight was almost 2 hours longer! Thanks for watching!

      @@Blaglag You're welcome...agreed, some airlines treat their customers way better, the the ones you mentioned as well as Air France/Canada/UK and others. Also does it really cost them an arm and a leg to serve food so they cheap out?
      I bet at most it's between $10-20 per meal, it's chump change given how much money they make...food should be free and you should be able to get whatever you want. Ofc the option to charge extra is always there so there's no excuse for any airline not to provide food.
