    Another quality review Paul.
    It's good to see that you are open about not paying full price and transparent about how you got the RTT. Makes you more genuine. I'm sick of seeing people open a package and tell us how good it is when they've never even used it.
    The tent looks like one of the better ones on the market for sure, and like you said...setup and pack up times are a big thing when camping / travelling. Also, being Australian owned and supporting other Australian business just makes it even better.

    Nice one mate. 👍 As usual UA-cam didn't notify subscribers. Looks great. I can understand as an Australian manufacturer myself how it's impossible to compete price wise. Some people get it most don't. Especially in my business of building horse floats. You get what you pay for and if it seems to good to be true just walk away. Cheers mate 👍 🐕 🤠

    • @Campingdownunder
      @Campingdownunder  10 місяців тому +1

      Yeah UA-cam is hopeless for that 🤣 if they see you skip just 1 video someone puts out they figure you don't want to watch that content and stop recommending it subscribed or not. Makes it very hard for us to get the word out when we release new videos. Yeah as you can see in the comments a lot of people don't understand & straight up say it's too expensive. But when I review a cheaper imported option I get roasted in the comments for not supporting Australian businesses. Can't win either way 🤣🤣🤣

    Have you found the lack of side window coverage as issue? I’m in Qld and would like to have a tent with the awning covering the windows to be able to leave them open when it’s raining. Would be an advantage in the warmer months when we get most of our rain. I’m in SEQ and have been to CK to personally inspect this tent and do agree the quality is 2nd to none, even when compared to The Bush Company and Bundutop, both of which I’ve also inspected in person.

    • @Campingdownunder
      @Campingdownunder  10 місяців тому +1

      Honestly no. We haven't had a need to have the side windows down when it's raining. The main door in the middle is big enough to let all the fresh air in you need. Plus you can always have fans inside like I do for when it's hot or humid

    Nice video mate!! I've been looking at the clamshell tents but at 6' and most of them only being 2000mm in length, because of the angles at both ends I just don't fit LOL. Bit of a shame because it forces me to either up the price by $1K for something bigger again (like a Darche Ridgeback) that werights a lot more...or just stick to the old soft shell which looks ugly on an SUV but more practical....1st world issue I know but frustrating all the same

    Hey mate cheers for the video. I’ve got a old NA Lux n60 runs like a dream but she is a bit slow. Do you think a heavy rtt the old girl would handle it ?

    • @Campingdownunder
      @Campingdownunder  8 місяців тому +1

      The old hiluxs definitely aren't happy about having the weight up there. They are very narrow and under powered. But it depends on your plans for the car. Once you have a huge rooftop tent like this you'll no longer be able to do a lot of 4wding as it becomes very top heavy & I sit on between 80/90km on the highway aswell. There's compromises but I absolutely love it

      @@Campingdownunder yeh cheers mate. I’m more like you just for a tourer setup only drive her on weekends when I want to get away so won’t bother me. I Recently had a 23zero it was good but sold it and am looking to upgrade to a Bush company or something of your quality. Did you ever consider the bush company?
      Do you find Australian made and bush company are close in quality ?

    • @Campingdownunder
      @Campingdownunder  8 місяців тому +1

      @JarvisJiri1998 honestly mate there were only 2 things that made me decide camp king industries over bush company. First was the fact that camp king is 100% Australian owned and operated. The second was the poles for the awning. Bush company still use the flexible poles which are horrible in strong winds. Their awning on rooftop tent flaps a lot so I'd hate to be trying to sleep with all that noise. Ooh & the fact camp king use a much higher quality canvas aswell which was a big plus for me. Spending that much money you want something that's going to last

    • @JarvisJiri1998
      @JarvisJiri1998 8 місяців тому +1

      awesome to hear that thanks for the advice. I’m currently just doing research and putting pennys away. After having the 23zero I definitely want to invest in something that will last a very long time. Don’t see the point of having something for a few years and in landfill. No one wins
      Thanks for your time mate

    Nice review, The product looks well made. I agree on that you pay for what you get But if your not happy with the price then start off on the cheap side and then save up for something better Aussie made.
    I think the Struts on the outside is much better than being inside. It's like what I did few weeks ago that I went and brought an Engel 39l combi and gave away my old 50l kings fridge to my misses mums boyfriend. Overall, he was happy as he knew he has a fridge that knows it still runs and I never had issues. As for the upgrade I went for an Engel as I know the parts are easy to get at BCF or direct from there Site and know I'll get at least 20 years or more out of it.
    but great to see you back by the River Mate.

      The price really does take it out of a lot of people's budget. But for those that can afford it they are getting the best rooftop tent on the market 👍 this is why I wouldn't recommend it to anyone just starting out camping

    No way woth the money! way over priced and monopolising ! and way too heavy and not enough shelter from the weather

    • @Campingdownunder
      @Campingdownunder  10 місяців тому +1

      Everyone is entitled to their own opinion mate which is why it's not for everyone. People think it's overpriced because they are comparing them with imported products. They don't actually make that much of a profit after paying for Australian materials and Australian wages which are some of the highest in the world. This is why more & more businesses import products because people complain Australian businesses are too expensive. But then people complain if I promote something that's imported saying I should only be promoting Australian businesses. YA can't please everyone. As far as I monopolising. How do you think they are doing that? They work with as many Australian businesses as possible to create their products, they organise a free event for other Australian businesses to come along & promote their products & get reach to new customers that they may have struggled to do on their own. They are trying to help other Australian businesses not squash them. As far as weight try comparing any rooftop tent that can hold that much bedding & they are all that weight. Can't help that mate. Can't make the entire rooftop bigger than most & expect it to be the same weight. They could make it lighter but then they'd lose the strength their brand is very well known for. No one has issues with these rooftop tents as they are made to the highest quality which means strong enough to handle Australian conditions. As far as shelter you will find several other rooftop tents that offer all round shelter but have you ever seen how they handle strong winds? I have personally & they can't handle strong winds where as this can. Sorry mate like I said it's not for everyone & they aren't trying to please everyone. Just make the best quality product they can & supporting Australian businesses

      @@Campingdownunder Have to disagree with you on most part about Aussie manufacturing costs it can be achieved and in a lot of case it is, just the margins they want here are ridiculous. Exactly you cannot please everyone and unfortunately the Australian market in this industry is so bitchy they can’t work together here. That is the essence of it. I no thi from experience and many colleagues in the industry. And in turn companies look over seas to fulfil their objectives. You can tell an Asian company I want you to make for X price and if not I will find another who can. Typical margins out of Asia is 2-3%.
