  • Hey everyone! Put together a video of some of the trips and experiences from this past year that didn't end up being their own videos. I'm sharing some 6x6 and 6x7 film images that I think turned out pretty good and chatting about some of these outings. Everything was shot on the Bronica SQ, Pentax 67ii, or Mamiya 7ii. Cheers!

    For me, the photos with the clouds and heavy fog and mist over the lake are some of the best in this video. Beautiful wedding photos as well. It was nice of the couple to offer to let you share those pictures from their album. These videos are so peaceful and engaging, though I’ll admit I’m anxiously awaiting the next tavern and burger travel review video, too.

    Seeing the wedding photos of the queer couple makes me happy. I said it once, and I'll say it again, Brae's the photographer I'd want shooting at my wedding. ❤

    Brae, I have just spent an amazing week on my own driving through Washington and Oregon. I am not American, so this was quite an expensive but worthwhile adventure which I have come to realize has been very much inspired by you and your film photography videos on Ruby Beach and so many other amazing spots. Thank you so much for what you have done, I hope you realize how much you can touch people's lives with your videos. Now I just hope my photos turn out ;)

    Ah man, your videos make me wanne go out. But too bad, there is no such thing as a nature park with mountains and lakes in my country. Great shots again, Brae!

    I appreciate the authenticness (if that's a word) of this video - everyone shows all the beautiful shots and perfect days, but I like the realistic expectations shared - Not every day will be perfect for photos and you still documented a great trip. We don't always get the frosting, but appreciate the cake.

    Awesome vid Brae! I finally broke down recently and had my eye on the Hollyland Lark dual transmitter/receiver pack. Hit a sale on Amazon at the time and got it for $99! Soooo worth the investment! Getting used to it and sounds amazing! I remember you using it in one of your videos! ✌️

    Good sh1t! Just found you out thru reccomendations though I saw your shots in IG (have a nicely calibrated algorithm for film). I like the lively coloring of the shots, wondering about the Film stock with those very lively greens on Mt Rainer park.
    Saw your comment about going to Thailand and Vietnam, please report that! I am planning a trip next year with Medium Format to Asia. Not looking forward to dragging "backpacking" a Texas Leica and minimum 50 rolls that I already have stocked up.

    honestly, I love my broncia too. I bought it because I wanted to get into MF cheaply, but it eventually became one of my favorite cams. that thing produces bangers for me.

    hey brae, thanks for sharing the blooper photos too - I got a roll back recently from a trip to Iceland and so many shots were disappointing and didn't turn out how I wanted... it's nice to see someone that I look up to also takes a few doozy's every now and then!

    Loved the video. Was happy to see all the variety but what really got me excited was seeing the use of the Pentax flash photos. I have that same behemoth of a flash but I’ve been too scared to try giving it a try because I have no idea about how it functions and it’s so hard to find good explanations on how to use it. Would love to see a short video on it from you one day.

    • @BraeHunziker
      @BraeHunziker  9 місяців тому

      I plan to make a video specifically on that flash! Been absolutely loving it.

    Which focusing screen do you use with the Pentax 67ii?? I had to replace the BG-60. Impossible to nail focus unless it's with split screen or prism, in my opinion.

    • @BraeHunziker
      @BraeHunziker  7 місяців тому

      Not sure the model number, but mine is the non-gridded microprism. I've found it pretty easy to get focus. Those BG-60 screens are difficult to use though.

    Hey Brae, do you use any filters when you shoot b&w with kentmere?

    • @BraeHunziker
      @BraeHunziker  5 місяців тому +1

      Usually no. I have used a red filter on partly sunny days to increase the contrast in the sky, but 95% of the time I use no filters.
