    1:02:34 Regarding this part
Hello, I'm a neuroscientist. Yes he is correct, the left hemisphere of your brain controls mostly the right side of your body, that is a phenomenom called contralateral organization of the brain. Most of this happens because axons (the neuron's little legs that communicate with each other) from neurons on the left side cross to the other side of your body in the medulla oblongata (the lower part of your brainstem). This crossing is called 'decussation of the pyramids'.
The eyes also work a bit like that despite they fact that they are not conneceted to the medulla oblongata, but the axos and the nerves that project out of your eyes cross in a region called 'optic chiasm'.
It is believed that this happens because of an axial twist of the nervous system.
It is also important to note that this doesnt really mean that each side is completely independent, both sides of the brain are connected by a thick tract of nerves caled 'corpus callosum' and they are constantly communicating with each other; no motor decision is taken without the help of information from the other side. That also means that those silly stuff you see on the internet like "are you left or right sided brain person" is mostly gibberish as the brain is constantly using both sides for almost everything.

Dean would get paid every time he was able to help the one armed man clap. Didn't pay well but the applause was priceless.

You know who you havent played on 4 levels of Death Metal? NILE - fookin NILE! Kyle Sanders is a fine sort, he would be fun on the show. Just try Lashed to the Slave Stick! That would be cool!

Just got back from Inferi's headliner with First Fragment, Summoning the Lich, Tomarum, and our local band Exodia. Sad to miss another stream but it was a tour you'd have loved.

Left hemisphere of the brain controls the right and the right controls the left. This is correct.
I never learned guitar theory. Didn’t really use tabs. Everything was by ear and when writing, I went off what sounded good. I also never learned to use my pinky beyond playing cords. Never learned to solo either. The style of music I was into didn’t require it. But I did myself a disservice and have been trying to unlearn my bad fretting hand technique and retrain it so I can start playing leads. Do you know how hard it is to unlearn a bad playing technique? It’s hard af.
My point is, I agree with Yngwie and you about the listening and being able to adapt it into the writing process. I like to call it influence.

One thing I do like about Yngwie, is he always admits how amazing Holdsworth was. He's like the only guitarist he'll admit was better than him.

I think Yngwie believes that sweep-picking is "below" him.
If he dismisses the technique that most non-players embrace as "advanced," then, regarding his projection of himself, he becomes that much "better" for it.
"I'm not sweep picking... I'm individually picking each note, each with its own motion. They simply happen to lie sequentially in order from top to bottom to top."
...perhaps, his ability makes up for it. He can call it whatever he wants. Haha
