- In today's video, we are looking at the best slot 1 units in DBZ Dokkan Battle.
What a slot 1 unit is, is they take the front line of the rotation. They go to the spot where most units do not want to go as they have to take hits before they super which most units gain stats after they super.
These are the tankiest units in the game or maybe they have some kind of other ability that allows them to be able to handle slot 1.
Yes Cell Max is not on this list and he should be I apologize, I did not realize he was not there until post-production.

Unless the powercreep is VERY OVERWHELMING (like i dunno, 2 five mil enemy supers per turn?), there’s nothing really to upgrade about Beast Gohan, he’s THAT good currently
Active Skill:
Can launch starting from turn 1 from the start of battle. And can be launched again next attacking turn.
Ki +69, DEF +420%, redirects all enemy attacks, gives all allies 9001% ATK for 100 turns; cancels enemy immunities, causes mega-immense-colossal-tremendous-ultimate damage & uninstalls game to enemies; creates a domain that gives all allies (Super & Extreme types included) Ki + 69; ATK, DEF, & HP +8001% and ATK, DEF, & HP -2000% to all enemies (Super and Extreme included) lasting 61122 turns.

Agl ui is underrated here. Sure he is dodge or die but his dodge chance increases every time he dodges.
Right, which is mentioned in the video. But he also could just not dodge the first hit (which has happened multiple times) and die
yeah putting agl mui below golden frieza is insane. like he’s fine, tanks big attacks better than most new characters could, but you fall below a certain hp threshold and he’s unusable, versus mui who guarantees 0 damage his first turn, something even ssbe vegeta can’t do, rarely ever gets caught if he dodges at least twice, and has a revive that gives him guaranteed dodge his next appearance and protects you if you’re low on health, unlike golden frieza who’s a literal 0. red HAS to have a full additional build on him to have put him below all these guys 🙏 a shame
@@mule3932 I mean I agree with the HP threshold point but you hardly are ever under 40% HP tbh. You are gonna see 90% DR way more than you will see Goku’s dodge. It is either 0 damage or death to a normal. Also my Goku’s full dodge why in the world would I build him any other way 😭
@@legendaryred24 yeah i just disagree, guaranteed dodge first turn is a LOT stronger than 90% with like >90k defense. also he doesn’t die to one normal like you’d like to believe, his defense fully built up without his revive is no less than 600k which is more than enough to handle 99% of relevant boss normals. the battles he does take damage in don’t out right one shot him, and while entirely possible to take a super, im taking his built up dodge chance slot 1 over ssbe Vegeta without his revive buff.
it’s also worth mentioning that frieza’s only relevant teams aren’t the greatest, his best partners are almost always gonna be frieza/cooler units and there’s only like, one relevant one locked to a garbage unsupported team. he’s on broly’s team, sure, but there’s like a dozen other units on broly’s team that don’t have that hp weakness. the first one that comes to mind being CELL MAX!!! WHO SHOULD BE ON THIS LIST AS WELL, OR AGL JIREN WHO HAS 100% DAMAGE REDUCTION FOR 2 TURNS 🙏🙏🙏

I ran TEQ Vegeta's team against M.Battle Beast Gohan with LR Blue Evo. Vegeta and one of the TEQ Vegetas as a rotation ofc. At the final phase, he locked TEQ Vegeta in the middle slot, so I just put Evo. Vegeta in slot one to get his revive off, and after taking 2 normals and a SUPER from Beast, this man proceeded to take 316k damage, and _LIVE._
Sure, King Vegeta was giving big support to him, but surviving Beast's while having type disadvantage, no Whis, no Bulma support memory, is actually insane.

I think if a unit is on BOTH Pure Saiyans and Vegeta's Family, they get 60% atk & def, but I could be wrong

I wouldn't put evo on this list since he really isn't a slot 1 character but rather slot 2 that can get away in slot 1.

you forgot about gamma 1. despite being an unit that almost 2 years old and havent got any eza yet, hes still good being a slot 1 unit on many current hard events. i used him on my lr gamma team and hell he could tank the new beast gohan boss greatly.

Teq gohan is not better than agl UI who can stack dodge for each turn.
And teq gohan can also just don't want to super or has no chance to super, and it is fairly often.
He got me killed multiple times just because he didn't feel like to super and became mid in the deeper phases.
Int evo vegeta can be blew away by an instant super easily in the hardest phase too.
The "other units on the list can just tank it" statement is conditional.
Sure Vegeta I can agree with that, but Gohan can easily hit 3 mil by turn 7. Saying he cannot tank is an absurd statement lol. I get it look MUI stacks dodge and that is great but he also can just not proc his first dodge and then get blown off the stage.

No, he is not, this is a cherry pick situation.
He often barely breaks over one mil def in turn 7 after transform. Which mean he can't really tank 3 mil super pre super.
If you are talking about intentionally slow down to stack for him and use agl ultra gohan's active to help.
Then it is just a one turn thing and most people didn't even summon for him.
Also, half of my loses in the majin buu saga team due to how weak teq gohan in the early turns and die in slot 1/ 2.
Or sometimes he just didn't want to do supers so he is kinda mid through out the whole fight.
You need angel goku to cover the first few turns for teq gohan or you'll just lose left and right.
Which mean him isn't worthy to be mentioned in the best slot 1 discussion IMO.

He has the potential to be an exceptional slot 1, but it is very rng based.
It depends on opening rotation, how enemy's attacks spread, how many stacks you get, and which character you paired with him, etc.
You need too many things going your way to let him tank a 3 mil super pre super.

They didn't summon so they don't get to use Ulthan the way he is meant to be used. By turn 5 he has 1 mil defense in BASE, this is not a cherry picked situation it is reality. Even if you did slow down the fight (which is how you play with him anyways because his best team is the Buu team) then he can reach 3 mil defense by turn 10 WITHOUT LR Ulthan's active. You don't need SSJ3 Goku to cover anything for him lol. He has DR turn 1 and after he supers that turn he is completely fine. Easily one of the best slot 1 units in the game versus dodge or die.
That Vegeta will be the first unit I buy when he comes back. I hope I pull him because he's just that freaking good, and a must have

Here’s my thing, is he a great tank for more than the first 2 turns? Kind of, but late into fights when it matters most he isn’t slot 1
Both UI’s being honorable mentions is absurd. Teq ultimate gohan can’t even go slot one for most of any difficult fight and is heavily based off rng to get supers and int fat buu is definitely slot 1 but after he builds up. While both UI’s have built in dodge chances and teq Ui has dmg reduction as a fail safety from the get go which matters more in the top 3 hardest fights in the game.
3 mil defense by the time the fight actually gets hard doesn't deserve to be slot 1 lol ight buddy. Both UI's can easily get blown off the field by NORMALS if they don't dodge. TEQ UI's fail safe is nice but is not always the most reliable.

He gets cooked in all three hardest fights and the taking damage to normals yea agl ui does RARELY and teq ui as well. Teq ultimate gohan got his eza too early he’s severely mid with this power creep on the verge.
@@Rysworlddd Turn 7 with 8 stacks fairly easy to get lol, just have to have him next to LR AGL Ulthan. But you literally cherry-picked one of the two fights that is his worst fights in the game. This is due to the locking and the phase where stats build if you wait too long to stack. Not only that but his best team (the Buu team) is a slow moving team, which will not work in that. But ight buddy you got it lol, clearly someone has not used Ulthan. Ulthan in every other fight is unstoppable even Kid Buu.

@@legendaryred24 not to be rude, but he is slot 1 until turn 9 if he starts in turn 1, because on turn 1 he has 90% dr, on turn 3 he has 70/75, on turn 5 he has 55/60, on turn 7 he has the active, with the 30 dr and guard, and i remind to you that the 100% def in slot 1 is not visible, and on turn 9 he can no longer go slot 1, but who cares, on turn 9 the fight is over anyway, so he is slot 1
An update on me getting Gohan. I haven’t gotten him yet. Instead I rainbowed AGL Cooler movie G&V, got 2 dups of Int Evo Vegeta, got a dupe of MUI Goku, a dupe of 8th Anni GT Duo, a dupe of the Go Bros, and 2 fucking dups of PHY Piccolo…
Pretty much almost the entire lineup…no Gohan…
Gonna wait n see what the Maximum gift is and use whatever is left. If I don’t pull him. Oh well, it was a good run.

I really hope they slow down with the power creep. I’m not one for super hard events to begin with and just want to enjoy characters I like that fell off not long after they released, like Phy Turles.
Yeah… like I get it right, but they don’t have to keep increasing the difficulty this much per fight. Just make it to where the fights have more unique mechanics. Majin Buu Red Zone is a great example

I mean let him take 400k from gogeta blue (thats what he took for me). He just gonna heals it back anyways. I think that him healing the damage back each turn is severely underrated.
I think you're underrating agl MUI here, he has 77% dodge and every time he dodges he gets an extra 7% to dodge. Fully built up he has 1mill def which is enough to tank most normals in the game, so he isnt "dodge or die" and on t1 & post-revive he has guranteed dodge. SSBE is only good in slot 1 with his guard up or when he has his DR fully built up, which isnt the case most of the time in slot 1, because the hardest fights in the game (beast,gogeta blue, goku&frieza,kid buu etc.) have a incredibly high chance to instantly super.
True but nothing you said disproves the fact that he is dodge or die, especially after the revive bailout is gone. He is easily the best Dodge character in the game but if you don’t dodge the first hit then you can’t build any Dodge
@@legendaryred24 well.. yeah, if you take away his dodge then he is basically worthless. But my whole point is that he isn't dodge or die because he's at a defense level where he is able to comfortably tank normals even if he doesn't dodge, he only really becomes dodge or die if you're facing a type disadvantage boss or a fully built up kid buu, it is very rare for him to fail. You could say the same thing for SSBE vegeta and his one turn guard, cause once it's over he isn't sitting in slot 1, at least MUI has a really good chance to negate dmg.
@@Salti_01 no not really, I mean you saw in this clip again Blue Zone Beast where he’s fully built up and he takes a normal and gets sent to Narnia. His defense is good, but bosses are easily dishing out 1 mil supers, which he really can only handle post revive.

i find agl UI to be better at doging then Teq UI cause he can stack dodge and has a revive, and if you build him full dodge he rarely gets hit unlike Teq UI and Str UI

If your lr agl ui goku don’t dodge, then your built his HIPO incorrectly, he has 77% dodge at base. With HIPO it’s over 80%. He dodges every time for me

You are smoking weed an unbelievable amount if you don’t believe AGL MUI goku isn’t up there with handling slot 1 like vegeta can, i really don’t know what to say to you. He builds up dodge every attack dodged and starts at 77% up to 100% in a turn with teq ui’s domain he starts at 88% like are you delusional, the hate for one of the goats of the game just blows my mind, put more respect on his name, also teq UI isn’t even remotely as good as AGL UI in slot 1, and that’s just facts, I rarely run teq Ui in slot one compared to my AGL MUI with a dodge build (14 dodge) mind you my AGL UI is only 69%
@@chaseplayz6709 The TEQ UI domain point is completely invalid when considering that is only one turn. Does AGL MUI have stacking dodge? Absolutely which is what makes him so good, but he also can simply not dodge the first attack at all and just die which I have seen more times than you can believe. Once the revive bailout is gone it is simply game over chief.

I am pretty sure raises ATK & DEF is 30% not 20% but I could be wrong
@@legendaryred24 when it's an infinite raise of atk and defense it's a 20% boost. If it's only atk or only defense it's 30% and if it's greatly atk and def (teq ultimate gohan) it's really 50%. The basic infinite atk and defense raise is an exception cause it's only 20% and every unit with this sa effect is 20%
