What I want to know is, how were these films distributed and seen? Who were their audiences? Did anyone make any money? Why do we know about the Mills Brothers and the Ink Spots yet the Deep River Boys and the Jubalaires, not so much?
I was born in 1955, and I remember hearing this song a lot as a kid in Michigan.
