  • The drift vette gets some suspension work. We delete the transverse leaf springs and go with full coilovers instead. One step closer to being a full blown drift car!

    • @MathewZleczewski
      @MathewZleczewski 7 років тому +3

      Taylor Ray not saying to turn on a fake personality everyone's got problems and idt you should ever hide them I'm just saying you're doing what you love on a car you like but you just don't smile or show the fun you're having that's all. I didn't mean to offend you in any way I don't know what's happening in your life behind the camera but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to take pleasure in what you do and have some fun.

    • @nelsonsantana6778
      @nelsonsantana6778 7 років тому +7

      just because he isn't smiling from ear to ear does not mean he's not enjoying himself. everyone is different my guy.

    • @MathewZleczewski
      @MathewZleczewski 7 років тому

      Nelson Santana I agree man everyone is different but universally we all show happiness in similar ways. I'm not saying Taylor needs to be fake on camera he just needs to come out of his shell a little bit. Nearly every UA-camr that starts is a little shy of filming (for good reasons obviously). Usually it takes time for UA-camrs to fully come out of their shell and be who they really are in front of the camera. You can see this trend with the early videos of many UA-camrs. Go look at Taylor's buddy Adam LZ when he just started or haggard garage or mighty car mods. Those are probably some of the realest UA-camrs on the website right now they don't bullshit they don't fuck around they tell you how it is yet they still are happy and seem uplifted. Taylor has just started filming whether he seems a little fatigued in his videos from working his job or other issues is completely acceptable and understandable. My point however is that he just started filming and he's a new UA-camr so of course he's a little camera shy I'm just suggesting that he puts some energy into it and breaks out of his shell. Look at how he acts in Adams videos he's a smiley happy kind of guy and I think that attitude would really go well here. He's a smart guy with a good knowledge of cars and as seen with this video he's really good at editing and filming. He puts a lot of work into his videos and I think he deserves more of an audience for sure he's like the Casey Neistat of car channels on UA-cam. Adding a little zest and energy into his videos would make his videos more entertaining to watch and thus he'd get the following he deserves.

    The BC BR, HSD MonoPro, etc, those setups are slightly out of my price range. Currently looking at HSD Dualtechs because the design makes them slighty cheaper, but they still have plenty of adjustablility. Does BC make a comparable product or does the range start with the BR and go upwards from there? Love the videos pal, always look forwards to them when I get in from work!

I love the quality of the XYZ components but whenever I try to talk to them they're horrible on the phone I spent a year trying to get replacement parts ended up going with a different company that had the same specs as what I needed four replacement parts. +Taylor Ray dude outstanding job on the editing this video it looks super good I can see why you're a week behind on Videos. as long as these videos are as good as this one I think you have nothing to worry about. Also towards the middle of the video when you were installing the coilovers you asked us to remind you to never put coilovers in your car again but it looks like you might have to do that so just reminding you LOL. I've been looking into coils for my wrx, how much do BCs run? And lastly I think you should do a day in the life of you video your co-workers seem super cool and you said there cool with you videoing. Anyway man, keep up the good editing! This one turned out great! We could tell it took at least a day to edit!

    GM's rear leaf springs.. a sin one could forgive for cost cutting. But the GM bolt design in rear looked like pain in the ass to work on. Usually coil over replacements for cars might be 2-4 hr job.

  • @luketrueheart3680
    @luketrueheart3680 7 років тому

    Will the new kit that y'all are developing have a shorter shock in the rear? I'm currently running Ridetech coilovers and for the rear we had to modify the upper mounting plate (adapter to go from a standard shock mount to the corvette mount) to get the rear low enough and I'm running negative preload on the springs for the front and rear. It all works but I do bottom out the rear sometimes. Also look into a delrin control arm bushing kit. Ridetech makes one and probably a few other companies. C5's have a lot of deflection in the stock bushings and with the mileage that your car has it will make a huge difference. On mine it was a night and day difference. Love the C5 videos! Can't wait to see it at a drift event!

    I feel like most of your shots look really good. However, the glamour shots might benefit from a cheap slider of some sort (you can get ones for less than $100 on Amazon). Also, maybe try to make the transition to the full end a bit smoother. This time around it was a little bit abrupt.

    Really want to see a video explaining more on your job and getting into the after market parts industry.
    Also I'm curious where you get the music that you use in your videos. I love it!

    After watching your video the other day about how you didn't want to rush this video, all I can say is good job man. Came out very very well.

    Did you upgrade any other suspension parts to correct camber/toe or did the OEM suspension parts have enough adjustment to correct the camber/toe?

    Surprised no one has asked this but do you have a code customers can use during their checkout? I know a lot of vloggers do. Just asking. Thanks

    You should remove that front plastic splitter. It'll look way better without it and you're going to have way more clearance

    Taylor are you using a mic on your camera? You really need a mic for vocals, the current mic peaks out alot makes listening to you talk a little harsh. keep up the good work tho. :)

    i wold definitely go for beefier rotors and calipers, while the rotors themselves are large, they have minimal contact patch with the caliper and pads, just my 2 cents

    Taylor, Loving the videos bro.
    Quick question, ive had a set of br's in my mirage for over a year and the whole time the rear left has had i slight knock, it hasnt gotten any worst, although it does get louder as i increase the stiffness, does that seem like an issue to you? again love the videos bro

    Since you deal with coilovers everyday you should do a "how to setup your coils " do a set that has an external coil like 370z . @taylorRay
