A few weeks ago Amels announced a new 80 meter project. The yacht looks amazing, and the online presentation was extraordinary. I just had to share it with you! - Авто та транспорт
I’m always careful with my underwater noise emissions, especially in the bathtub.
Thanks for that. actually made me choke on my cornflakes this morning 😂
Funny
Yes. Many people don't know that bathtub vibrations can cause cracks in the wall, as I unfortunately found out.
🤣
A lot of gently used Russian Yachts up for auction, generously donated by their previous owners...
You tease me with an 80 meter Amels! This is my kind of yacht. _Here Comes the Sun_ is a beautiful yacht; my favorite Amels to date. And I heard the current owner even expanded her! What a wonderful career where you get to travel the word. :) Thanks for the video!
When we hear this little music in the introduction, we are sure to see and appreciate the video and learn things. Thanks David👍👍👍
Good to hear you and the team are busy- looking forward to new yacht tours👍
Wow David... what an incredible video on not just a new yacht, but some information on noise that I would have never considered! Thanks
You have to love the way this yacht was announced. I saw a shortened video of the announcement a while back. I wonder if the buyer is going to get that 8 meter model! For me I’d go with the tender- better to find out early which one of your guests is going to get seasick! Count me in to hear about the propulsion system on this yacht. Safe travels!
what's up david! I'd charter a cessna and bail out over the yacht and parachute down onto the fore deck... a quad deck yacht is the dream. she's a beauty, thanks for showing us this, cheers!
The sundeck is 45% bigger than my house. That's sad.
I'm watching from Kenya 🇰🇪.
Hello world
Hello right back at you. Thanks for watching.
Hi David. Hybrid propulsion is becoming increasingly important in superyachts, economical, less emissions. Damen is a great builder especially La Datcha. Great video thanks 😊
i've often found myself (completely unable to afford such a fantastic machine, just for full disclosure) why more superyachts aren't being converted over to a diesel-electric setup. Get rid of one of the massive (fuel consumption and weight) engines, use the remaining one to power the electric drive. Kind of like "Geoff" from Top Gear. ;)
Perhaps as more yachts receive refits, it will be something owners consider. I couldn't say.
Perhaps David has some insight he could share in a future video?
She's really beautiful. Attention to technical details pleasant surprise. Enjoyed your presentation.
Stunning yacht design. Thank you
Your new style is great, Sir. A proper one I would say.
If I owned a M/Y I'd arrive by walking on water. Because it would already be a miracle if I could afford one of these yachts! xD
Awesome video as always. I appreciate the measurements stats. This should be done more often. Why, many people don't know.
Absolutely beautiful 😍
Been a hot minute since I've been able to watch ur vids, I like the beard. Time to watch every superyatcht vids like I originally planned!
Love your beard! Very distinguished! Now all you need is a pipe!!
Enjoyed your presentation. Can’t afford it though!
My dream is arriving by submarine and popping up in an enclosed submarine docking station 😂 Octopus might be the only yacht that would make such a thing possible ... but hey if were dreaming, lets dream 🤙🏼
Dear David, I have long been wondering, how does the chartering of a boat work? For example, let’s say I want to go to the med looking for a relaxed vacation, with the focus on art and culture who helps me plan that trip? Is the trip even planned on for hand, or do you go on board and make a plan with the crew?
Can you please make a video about that
Arriveing in a submarine would be nice… :-)
I'm planning on producing a vlog about a rather interesting submarine project!
@@Yachtsforsaleblog looking forward to it! :-)
@@Yachtsforsaleblog sure, he waits til I quit asking.
Quite exciting indeed. BTW, it should read _metre_ not "meter" (which is a device).
Arrival by... JETPACK!
Thanks for converting the numbers for us Yanks!
I'm pretty sure that the only way I'm going to roll up on a superyacht like this is dressing up like Jack Sparrow and hoping everyone mistakes me for Johnny Depp.
Private personal submarine could be a fun tender limo
If everyone would make a little less noise, the world would become a much quieter place. 😇
Lekker man lekker 🇿🇦
I would arrive at my super yacht with another super yacht of mine. And so on, until I decide on which one I'll stay.
arrival? easy: via submarine into a hidden dock underneath the yacht :D
I dream of arriving at my on a swan shaped pedalo
I only wonder the cost of this beautiful superyacht.
'Computational Fluid Dynamics'...i.e., we used a bunch of popsicle sticks and floated it in our break room sink. Lol. Wouldn't that be funny?
Nice
Hi David, a while back I asked for an update on what the Wider shipyard were up to and you responded saying you'd do a short video on it. Are you still able to do that? Thanks
I mentioned it in a video a little while back. I must be honest, it's a difficult topic to respond to. New ownership. They have all kinds of press announcements ranging from their inventing a new propulsion system to building catamarans to building a 70 meter monohull superyacht to becoming a publicly listed company...but they dont reply when I ask them for information. I guess time will tell whether they have a future and what that future looks like.
@@Yachtsforsaleblog Thank you very much for the response. I'm guessing they'll have more to share closer to the launch of a new yacht then.
Genuine question.. compared to the previous models shown. Why do modern yachts have the axe-like bow. Is it just a trend? Isn't the flared bow safer in rough waters?
Same as in cars I think: a styling trend. Often it has to look new and different. Not necessarily better. Perhaps it looks more "modern".
definitely prefer the beard hahaha
I love your shows, but this time I’m wondering if your mics de essing ( s sounds were breaking up) wasn’t working properly.
Large, small or tiny, all ocean creatures can hear sound and make sound.
I have never flown in a helicopter, so I would only use the vip tender.
David, A serious company with a serious superyachts, cant imagine how much money you would need to run this yacht, noise pollution is for sure something that needs to be considered, more behind the scenes would be very interesting, what you will be doing in the Galapagos islands? something to do with expedition yachts?
Hi Colin: do you remember the video I produced of "DR NO NO"? The yacht has now been sold, renamed "AQUA MARE" and will be chartering in Galapagos. I'm flying over with the team to film a very special promo-video!
Well since teleportation is still in its infancy I’d have to say I’d rather like to arrive at the stern of my Amels 80 in my Triton 3300/6 Submersible… to be fair I’m more likely to arrive at the stern of my 30 foot trailer boat totally green after a quick bounce over the waves in a bow up dingy
Thanks for touching into underwater noise. Important issue that no one knows about.
Arrive in Helicopter or Sea Plane is my preference.
Find a sonar expert from the military submarine service and you will be astounded at how objects (Ships and other subs) at extreme distances can be heard on passive sonar.
What happened to that young guy in some of the previous videos? I think he was your apprentice or something.
I'd arrive to my super yacht by Milk Float.
Heli, how large (heavy) may T&Go? no cerified? I'd would hire Heli Taxi to my transporting
Tender how luggage is moved in and out tender at marina/yacht +in the yacht. Carried by crew in stairs?
- were tender's parked at (/ bring people )yacht vs. swimming area. Safety? tenders come and go and water slide + supp boarding , diver's etc at the same place?
Pool is it 4,8 meters, I'd want at least 8 M long + depth 1.8m.. Yes custom only...
+ Yacht support yacht by Damen 70-80m "sistership I would want too :)
Just looked it up, an NBA standard basketball court is 15.24 meters wide, so this vessel is obviously too small for my requirements.
Jetpack
A helicopter, And I want my mega yacht to be so big that it has a section on top that slides open to expose a massive elevator that my custom Airbus H175 helicopter lands on and lowers it down into a room on the owner's deck adjacent to the owner's stateroom with a section of the wall entirely made of glass so while I'm lying in bed I can push a button that slides a section of the wall back and exposes the glass wall my helicopter is sitting behind so that I can just look at it. lol.
I was just thinking that a yacht is particularly suited for a new EVTOL shuttle aircraft instead of the conventional noisy and space demanding helicopter. A two rotor 2 seater electric would be very compact and not be dangerous to be around nor have risk of blade strikes. Very little servicing needs as well so it's a bit surprising people of means haven't made things happen. But apparently Musk style innovation is quite rare. If you're a billionaire, hit me up and I can point in the right directions to make it happen.
I assume seizure of russian yachts is the talk of your industry these days? :) have any been put on sale yet or are they just seized.
Oh my goodness he has a beard now
Marul meral sen aynaya bak.
I think the only way to properly arrive to your super yacht is by submarine. Any other way would be... Uncivilized. Lol
Yikes. Not an avenue yacht builders should be taking. Research fuel efficiency to save fuel. Reduce noise so it's not so noisy. If they're trying to placate environmental activists they can be shut down with ridiculous ease. "You want to save the environment? Stop building and selling yachts."
I think this attempt to signal their virtue will end up biting them.
Hmm Looks like someone is getting scared of that dreadful razor lmao. Ok Bud try stepping a little closer next time you can do it .
Talk to much
Hi Carlos, thanks for watching. This video is a vlog...talking is an important part of it.
